Das Ainu Cultural Center ist ein wahres verstecktes Juwel. Versteckt in einer üppigen natürlichen Umgebung eine Stunde oder so außerhalb von Sapporo, wird dieses Zentrum / Museum sicherlich gefallen. Es ist sehr informativ mit Tonnen von Artefakten der Ainu. Das Zentrum ist gut kuratiert und die Besucher werden ermutigt, die vielen authentischen Ainu-Handarbeiten zu halten und zu berühren. Das Outdoor-Dorf mit traditionellen handgefertigten Ainu-Häusern und Kanus ist auch sehr cool zu erleben. Dies ist ein „Muss“ für diejenigen, die sich für indigene Gruppen interessieren. Ihre Tour geht weiter zum nahegelegenen Jozankei Hot spring(Onsen) Village. In Jozankei gibt es 56 heiße Quellen, die sich um die Tsukimibashi- und Takayamabashi-Brücke sowie den Toyohira-Fluss konzentrieren, der durch das Dorf fließt. Das Wasser der meisten dieser heißen Quellenbäder hat Durchschnittstemperaturen von 60 bis 80 Grad Celsius. Als Mitglied dieser Tour erleben Sie ein zweistündiges Thermalbad in einem der renommiertesten Hotels in Jozankei.

Diese Tour beginnt am Bahnhof Sapporo vor dem „Myomu“ (der kreisförmigen Steinstruktur) vor den Südausgangstüren des Bahnhofs Sapporo. Bitte treffen Sie sich hier um genau 9 Uhr. Ihr Guide wird Sie begrüßen. Nach kurzen Einführungen und einem Lächeln beginnen wir mit unserer wunderbaren Tour, die am Ainu Cultural Center beginnt. Die Tour beginnt hier im Ainu Cultural Center. Ihr Reiseleiter führt Sie durch das Ainu Center Museum (Ausstellungsraum). Hier erfahren Sie mehr über den Lebensstil, die Geschichte und die Kunst der Ainu, der Ureinwohner, die zuerst Hokkaido besiedelten und eine einzigartige Kultur entwickelten. Diese Einrichtung ist die erste ihrer Art in Japan, die sich auf ursprüngliche Bewohner konzentriert und es den Besuchern ermöglicht, traditionelle Ainu-Kunstwerke (über 300 Artikel) von Ainu-Kunsthandwerkern aus erster Hand zu fühlen, zu berühren und zu erleben.
Nachdem Sie das Ainu Cultural Center verlassen haben, fahren Sie (mit dem Bus) in das ganz in der Nähe gelegene malerische kleine heiße Quellendorf Jozankei. Jozankei liegt im üppig grünen Shikotsu-Toya Nationalpark. Dieses Gebiet ist durch Topographie und Phänomene gekennzeichnet, die durch hunderte von Jahren vulkanischer Aktivität entstanden sind. So hat diese vulkanische Aktivität zahlreiche natürliche heiße Quellen geschaffen, die das gesamte Gebiet des Dorfes Jozankei überstreichen. Bei Ihrer Ankunft zeigt Ihnen Ihr Guide die Umgebung und stellt sicher, dass Sie alle beliebten Sehenswürdigkeiten sehen, die Jozankei bietet. Dazu gehören sowohl der Jozankei-Schrein und -Tempel, der Gesen-Park und das Fußbad, der Futami-Park und die Futami-Tsuribashi-Suspensionsbrücke. Diese geführte Wanderung durch Jozankei ist zu jeder Jahreszeit atemberaubend.
Ihre Tour endet mit einem körperlich beruhigenden „High Note“. Ihr Guide begleitet Sie zum Hotel Shika no Yu Hot Spring. Hier genießen Sie das sehr beliebte 2-stündige Tagesbaderlebnis. Natürlich sind heiße Quellen („Onsen“ auf Japanisch) ein integraler Bestandteil der japanischen Kultur und werden seit Jahrhunderten für ihre therapeutischen und entspannenden Eigenschaften genossen. Besucher in Japan, würden es vermissen, kein Onsen-Bad zu erleben. Sie haben die Chance auf diese Tour! Great learning experience about one of the lesser known parts of Japan history, and the onsen experience was a lovely way to end it. Lunch venue was very interesting and fun as well!
A lovely few hours enjoying Scott’s guidance and hospitality. Enjoyed the Ainu Museum, the public transportation rides, the lunch experience, the onsen soaking and of course, Scott’s conversations and dry humor! The experience was enhanced by the presence of Stella and Faith from Hawaii in our little group.
Highly recommend this small group tour. If there’s interest in Ainu culture and history, book this trip. Scott was very informative, insightful and it’s a better way to fully experience the centre rather than just walking through it. Day is very balanced with the onsen trip after it. Thanks Scott :)
We used public transportation to get there so it took a while but was scenic along the way. The Ainu Museum was very interesting. Then, we headed to Jozankei for lunch, a short hike, and the onsen at a local hotel. It was a different experience than our hotel onsen. There were a lot of people but 3 different baths. Overall, it was a long but very good day with our guide, Scott.
He is knowledgeable and explained things in detail so that we could easily understand. It was a pleasure traveling with you. Thank you..
This was an outstanding tour where we were able to be immersed in the culture at the museum as well as explore the hot springs town. Our guide was informative and friendly. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in the culture of Sapporo and interested in the Indigenous culture of Japan.
A great tour, with an engaging tour guide in Scott. Fees were all included in the ticket and you get a good showing around the Ainu museum and the Hot Springs, coupled with the onsen trip, lasting about 10 hours from start to finish. Highly recommended, although wear shoes with grip if going on the gorge hike during off season!
