Ab Salerno: Klassische Führung durch Pompeji

Booked this as a cruise excursion from Salerno for four adults and the guiding was genuinely excellent. The start was a little disorganised, but once we were at the site our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, and the 2.5 hours felt like the right amount of time to cover Pompeii properly without rushing. Skip-the-line entry worked smoothly. The coaches are where this needs attention. On the outbound journey one of our party had a seat with a broken recliner mechanism that wouldn't stay upright, so she spent the whole journey tipped back into the lap of the passenger behind. That's a maintenance issue rather than bad luck and it shouldn't be in service. There were two coaches running to the same meeting point, with no difference in what anyone had booked or paid. On the return, staff were reluctant to let us board the second coach and appeared to be directing specific people onto it, which wasn't explained. We boarded anyway. The seats on that one were much better, but it had no air conditioning. So: guide 5 stars, transport 2. Worth booking for the guiding, but the operator should get the seats repaired and be clearer about how the two coaches are allocated.

It went fast, but we covered a lot of Pompeii. Our guide covered all the necessary stops including the men's baths, the gymnasium, we went by the women's baths, saw a bakery where bread was found still in the oven. She covered the need for the raised crossing stones and we whizzed through the museum. We also saw the main piazza. It was a good tour but I wish I could've wandered around a bit. I didn't get to see the bakery with the suggestive mosaic, which I wanted to see, but overall it was really good.

We did the Pompeii Tour with Ester as our guide and it was super interesting. Pompeii is such a huge and impressive place that it is so important to have a guide who knows as much as Ester to truly understand the history, the life, and the meaning behind every ruin. She showed us the best spots and explained everything in a clear and fascinating way. We learned so much! Highly recommended. If you go to Pompeii, do it with Ester!

Great experience, our guide was great, friendly and knowledgeable. We were hoping to specifically see the casts of the bodies found and we did not make it there. If we knew we were not intending on going to that location we probably would have gone on our own or booked a different tour so just check ahead of time to see which area of the city you will be touring

It was an excellent tour lead by a great tour guide. We were there on a Saturday and it was very crowded.

Agency good, the guide not so much, he gave a 5-minute explanation in English and only 1 in Spanish, the whole time the same.

What an amazing day. The coordinator reached out several times to ensure we knew where the meeting place was. Our guide Carla was so knowledgeable about the history of Pompeii and is clearly passionate about sharing her expertise. It was hot - no surprise this summer- but Carla managed to find shady spots and small breezes. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Our Pompeii tour was fantastic from beginning to end. The guide was amazing—so knowledgeable, so clear, and genuinely passionate about the history. Even though the tour only covered a portion of Pompeii because of the time limits, it still felt incredibly rich and worthwhile. The insights, stories, and explanations she provided made every stop meaningful. For the time we had, we got exceptional value and walked away feeling like we truly understood what we were seeing. Absolutely loved it.

Just like saw on the reviews, we received Google map location of the tour coordinator, Mary. She sent us her picture from the spot. We found her and she took all of us to their white bus and handed us over to the driver, Sara who took us to a parking lot abot 200 yards from the Pompei Ruins entry. Then the tour guide Daniella came to the bus at the parking lot and gave us perfect instructions about the things to expect and where and how to meet on return. Daniella was outstanding, outstanding, outstanding,...! No praise of her would be enough. Vey knowledgeable, professional, and great communication skills. My recommendation - Ditch the expensive cruise excursion and do this.

Extremely informative, guide was easy to understand and the ear buds worked very well. Would highly recommend.
