The tour had 26 people which is very large. Tour guide’s English was very hard to understand. We left the 3 hour tour after 11/2 hours.

Very knowledgeable guide. Lots of information and a bit of walking. Saw most 5 of the UNESCO sites in Ravenna.

Fabio, our guide, was very knowledgeable in the history of Ravenna and the mosaics. Unfortunately, he was focused on the negative experiences of his morning tour groups of adolescent students. Throughout our afternoon tour, Fabio continued to complain about his morning groups, instead of focusing on our afternoon adult group. In fact, his final words repeated a phrase he had throughout the tour: “I can’t wait to be in Tuscany drinking wine!” Perhaps Fabio should not take groups of adolescents, so the rest of adult tour participants will not be subjected to his adolescent-like behavior.

Very nice tour of the beautiful mosaics in Ravenna. The guide told clearly and was inspired. International company of like-minded people. Unfortunately, the headsets did not work for us on three occasions, which was at the expense of our tour time.

Lovely tour with very knowledgeable guide. The mosaics are so very worthwhile to see. And to get a renewed appreciation of Dante who lived and died here

Being passionate for art history as well as always wanting to know more about the nature of the city's history, this walking tour balanced both with a knowledgeable guide - Marco - with a thorough background in both, a great rapport with all participants, as well as a fantastic sense of humor. Despite time constraints sometimes imposed by fixed appointments with the ticket offices of these monuments, Marco organized the tour in a casually, well-paced speed to meet these times without feeling thrown around. We left with a greater fondness for the city itself, a greater understanding of the history that shaped this place, and the people within it. Only downside I could pinpoint was that my radio kept failing among several others, which Marco worked hard to keep all the group informed and work within technical difficulties. Cons: Audio guide malfunctions near the start of the tour Pros: Passionate guide, evenly paced, highly entertaining exchanges, access to breathtaking views around the length of Ravenna. Christopher

We did 6 tours during our vacation, and this was one of the best. We did the option from Bologna, and the trains are easy to use and the tickets arrived the day before. The mosaics are definitely worth seeing - so impressive that words don't do them justice. Our guide was excellent - very informative and really knew the stories behind the buildings and art. It is a brisk pace but you see 5 very different buildings and have adequate time in each. Made us want to revisit Ravenna.

We have seen all 5 UNESCO sites and the guide gave good explanations, but it was a bit chaotic and sometimes difficult to follow. Too bad he didn't frame the whole thing a bit better in the historical background. Some clear accents with repetition of what has already been said, so the listeners also remember it better. We were missing a common thread in the whole thing. For 60€/person we expected something more.

It was very informative probably too much so. The guide was very soft spoken so even though there was only 4 of us, it was very difficult to hear her.

Beautiful tour where the guide explained absolutely everything we wanted to know about the mosaics. Thank you so much!
