This was amazing! There were only a couple reviews so I was a bit unsure, but definitely why I wanted to leave one. If you love animals and don’t mind getting a little dirty, this is great! The sanctuary is doing lovely work, and will tell you the stories of the different animals they’ve rescued. The stories are heartbreaking. It is so uplifting to know they are now with people who care for them, and some of them may even be released with rehabilitation. Even though I was only able to volunteer for one day, I had far more contact with the animals than I expected. It was lovely to also meet other volunteers who were there on a longer basis. The transport was easy and the people were incredibly friendly. I loved it! I absolutely recommend it.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review and for supporting our rescue work. We’re truly glad your volunteering day exceeded your expectations and that you were able to connect with the animals and meet other volunteers.
This is the most incredible opportunity! What an amazing thing the people at this sanctuary do and such care and love they provide to these animals! We were able to help out with so many different projects and just fell in love with so many of the animals-especially Monica the monkey. We booked a second day to volunteer because it was seriously one of the best days of our lives.
amazing place that truly helps the animals! I volunteered there 3 days while on my vacation and loved it so much! you get so much compassion and want to help prevent the situations these animals were rescued from. from a volunteers perspective though, it could be more organized. for example, a chart of what and how much each animal eats would make things a lot more efficient.
