This SUP experience was really enjoyable. Although it is marketed to all abilities, the unpredictable April weather in Moab made this a bit more challenging than a beginner level paddle. Our guides Jayden and Klee were both amazing and checked in on us regularly. We did have to fight some pretty strong winds for a lot of our paddle, but it was still a great experience for my 14 year old daughter and I. Jayden offered us opportunities along the way to pull off the river early if we felt like we were getting too tired. We stuck out the entire 6 mile trip and it was definitely worth it. Our guides offered helpful paddling tips, provided information about various cliffs and features along the river, and gave us great hiking suggestions to try while we are out here. We were able to see a variety of birds and a few otter dens along our paddle. Aside from the windy conditions, the trip was scenic and peaceful. It was a great way to spend an afternoon in Moab!
We did the morning flat water stand-up paddle boarding tour down the Colorado River. What an amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking, and our guide Jayden was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience fun and relaxing. I can’t recommend this enough.
Very friendly team and even though the water was low we had a great trip. Highly recommended for all your adventures. Would book through them again!
We did the morning flat water stand-up paddle boarding tour down the Colorado River. What an amazing experience. The scenery was breathtaking, and our guide Jayden was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience fun and relaxing. The river was very placid, and we spent much of the time just drifting lazily down the river. I can’t recommend this enough.
Such an incredible time! Dominic was our guide and he was so fun to talk to, knowledgeable and great at teaching two women in our 30s how to paddleboard. It was relaxing with beautiful views and refreshing with the heat in mid-August! Will definitely use this company again! It was perfect after hiking Arches National Park all morning !
So great. we love Dom. Thanks for the review! We are so glad you had so much fun!
Great experience, have learned standup paddling from the guide, good explanation. The rapids were superb. We enjoyed it the four of us. Also nice with our riverdog Juan. It's worth repeating.
👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Unprofessional. It had started moderately: they had not bothered to match the paddel size with the people who were there and they wanted to give me a paddel too small and after too big. I finally had to change another participant abec. They didn’t take the time to adjust our oars either or to tell us that we had to: I changed with a man who thought his oars were too small. 15 minutes after we're on the river... I have already done paddel in ardeche and wyoming several times and they always paid attention to that BEFORE going on the water! That's the base. The worst part: my son made splinters and there were no tweezers or even a waterproof dressing! They just gave a little disinfectant wipe of nothing. What water sports organization does not have a spray disinfectant or waterproof dressing? To flee for me. Too bad because we love paddel and we are disappointed.
We’re proud to consistently run 5-star trips, and this tour was no exception, everyone else had a great time. From the start, our guides offered you multiple paddleboards. You were within the standard size range for our gear, which we use successfully with a wide range of guests. Despite our efforts, it seemed no option met your satisfaction. All our paddles are fully adjustable, and instructions were clearly explained before getting on the water. As always, we launched into a calm eddy to allow guests to test gear and we make any final adjustments at this time. Your paddle was addressed during this time. There were other groups of people so it’s possible you were on the water for a few minutes before the adjustment was made—but it was handled promptly and appropriately. We understand that you and your family are visiting from France, and that language differences may have contributed to some misunderstandings. That said, our guides made every effort to communicate clearly and ensure your group was informed and supported throughout the trip. Regarding the scratch: your child paddled directly into a tree after not following the guide’s instructions. The injury was a minor surface abrasion with no bleeding. Our certified Wilderness First Responder cleaned the area with disinfectant, but since it was on the palm and the trip was nearly over, a bandage would not have stayed on or been helpful. It’s also worth noting that when your children became too tired to paddle, our guide towed all three of them downriver—going above and beyond what’s expected. While not every guest is the right fit for every experience, our team remained patient, professional, and accommodating throughout.
My husband and I are in our mid-50s and had never tried paddle boarding before. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to stay balanced on the board, let alone stand up on it. Despite my hesitation about signing up for the trip, my husband convinced me to give it a try. We ended up being the only participants on the guided tour, with Ramie as our guide - and she was absolutely awesome! Ramie was incredibly knowledgeable about the Colorado River and shared great local recommendations with us. More importantly, she put me at ease immediately and had both my husband and me confidently standing on our paddle boards within just ten minutes of being on the water. This is a very well-run local business, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide than Ramie. So happy we went!
This was the most amazing tour! It was our first time paddle boarding and our guide Dominic was amazing! He was super knowledgeable, very patient and kind. The scenery was incredible and the wildlife really cool to see! We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend these folks for a great experience on the Colorado River!
We opted for the super chill flat water paddle experience after lots of hiking. It was not challenging but very relaxing which was great after all the hiking and hot sun. Ramie is darling and has a nice way of chatting and sharing about Moab. It is apparent she enjoys her job. I so appreciate these young entrepreneurs who bring enthusiasm and skill every day! There are more challenging options so call to find out if that is more of what you are seeking. The team is friendly, enthusiastic and well equipped to create the best experience possible. Truly one of the highlights of our trip to Moab.
