Diese Fahrradtour zeichnet sich durch eine authentische, intime und aktive Erkundung der antiken Hauptstadt aus. Anstatt nur die wichtigsten Touristenattraktionen der IT zu besuchen, führt es die Teilnehmer durch **abseits der Touristenpfade gelegene Dörfer, ruhige Reisfelder und weniger bekannte Gebiete** und bietet einen tieferen Einblick in das tägliche thailändische Leben. Wat Lokaya Sutha ist eine massive Tempelruine. Es ist auf eine Ost / West-Achse ausgerichtet. Das Kloster wurde umfassend restauriert, einschließlich Bodenfliesen und Ziegelböden. Der größte Teil des Tempels existiert nur auf der Basisebene. Dazu gehören einige Säulenstümpfe und Grundmauern. Am östlichen Eingang befinden sich die Überreste von drei Vihans. Hinter diesen Predigträumen befindet sich ein großer, 30 Meter hoher Prang im Khmer-Stil aus der Spät-Ayutthaya-Zeit. Dieser Prang-Turm hat an seiner Ostseite einen hohlen Eingang. Die Überreste eines ubsot können hinter dem Stich gesehen werden. Nur die Grundschicht ist erhalten geblieben, aber es gibt viele Sema-Steine und den Schutt von Buddha-Bildern. Ein großer Glockenturm steht an der südwestlichen Ecke dieses Ubosot. Das Highlight dieses Tempels ist das riesige liegende Buddha-Bild (37 Meter lang und 8 Meter hoch), das sich hinter dem Ubosot befindet.
Wat Phra Si Sanphet (thailändisch: วัด วัดรพ ศรศ สรร เพ เพ; "Tempel des Heiligen, Prächtigen Allwissenden") war der heiligste Tempel an der Stelle des alten Königspalastes in Thailands alter Hauptstadt Ayutthaya, bis die Stadt durch vollständig zerstört wurde Es war der größte und schönste Tempel der Hauptstadt und diente Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok als Vorbild.
Wat Mahathat, „der Tempel der Großen Reliquie“, war einer der wichtigsten Tempel im Ayutthaya-Königreich. Das große Kloster befindet sich auf der historischen Insel und verfügt über einen riesigen zentralen Prang, einen sehr großen Haupt-Viharn und -Ubosot sowie eine große Anzahl von untergeordneten Chedis und Viharns. Der obere Teil seines einst massiven zentralen Stachels ist zusammengebrochen. Heute bleibt nur die Basis. Eines der meistfotografierten Objekte des Tempels ist der Kopf eines steinernen Buddha-Bildes, das in die Wurzeln eines Baumes gewickelt ist.
Wat Chaiwattanaram liegt am Ufer des Chao Phraya im Westen der Stadtinsel. Der Bau des Tempels wurde 1630 von König Prasat Thong zu Ehren seiner Mutter in Auftrag gegeben. Die Architektur ist vom Angkor-Tempel in Kambodscha beeinflusst. Einzigartig ist eine große, zentrale Prang-Pagode (Khmer-Stil), die von kleineren Prangs umgeben ist und den Berg symbolisiert Sumeru, der Götterberg nach hinduistischem Glauben.
Der Ayutthaya Historical Park besteht aus den Ruinen der Tempel und Paläste der Hauptstadt des alten Ayutthaya-Königreichs. Der Park liegt auf einer Insel, die von drei Flüssen umgeben ist, an denen sich früher die alte Hauptstadt befand. Das Ayutthaya-Königreich, das von 1351 bis 1767 bestand, war eines der größten und wohlhabendsten Reiche seiner Zeit. Die Ruinen vieler beeindruckender Tempel und Paläste vermitteln einen Eindruck vom Reichtum des alten Königreichs.
Phra Mongkhon Bophit oder der Buddha des Heiligen und höchst Glückverheißenden Die Ehrfurcht wurde 1538 unter König Chairacha (reg. 1534-1547) in Wat geschaffen Chi Chiang Sai. 1538 wird allgemein als das Jahr akzeptiert, in dem das Bild gebaut wurde auf der Luang Prasoet Version der Royal Chronicles of Ayutthaya (Die meisten anderen Versionen setzen seine Konstruktion bei 880 der Chulasakkarat-Ära oder irgendwie 20 Jahre vorhin).

Beam was a lovely guide who took time to check everyone was keeping up. The temple and ruins of ayutthaya was impressive and in its heyday must have been a sight to behold. I managed to do the bike tour at 56 years old and do think it is suitable for a lot of people. Thank you

Spectacular experience with this tour. They were absolutely punctual and cordial. They kept everything promised and went further. When I arrived, I found out that only I had scheduled for that day. I would expect a cancellation attempt on their part, but not: I was treated in the best way possible and given a private tour. The guide (Sprite) was extremely cordial and attentive. He spoke a very good English and easy to understand (and I am Brazilian, not used to different accents). He also had a lot of knowledge about the places we visited, the history and Buddhist philosophy. It was also always concerned with safety and comfort. When reading the description, it seems that we only stayed 10min in each place (almost I didn't book for that), but don't stick to this information, because my experience has shown that we can stay the time necessary in each place, without rush. I highly recommend this tour. The experience of cycling around the city is incredible, and it feels much better to me than driving from one place to another.

Amazing tour of the ruins of Ayutthaya. All 4 of us agreed it is a day we will never forget. We have previously enjoyed a cycle tour in Vietnam but the topic was nowhere near as dramatic and we loved that, this was amazing. Bella is a knowledgeable guide. Enough info without overkill, taking photo's and sharing was great and really appreciated. Some of the shots we never would have got. To think they had those architectural skills in the 13th Century is a real "WOW" Lunch was amazing, so much so we ate there 3 times in 3 days. And it was always busy. We are ages 60-64 as @ Dec 2024 - and we are not everyday cyclists. The fish feeding I could have done all day. :) Thanks Bella - really appreciated your time and effort!

Biking around was indeed the perfect way to see the ruins of Ayyuthaya. It is quite spread out and biking between them was a great experience, that we would have certainly missed out had we just used a car. Bella on top of that was knowledgeable and open to entertaining many questions.

Excellent experience full-day biking for 30km within 6 hours! My tour guide Bella is excellent. While surprisingly I happened to be the only traveler, she still followed the original itinerary to ensure I would see the UNESCO sites in Ayutthaya and the surrounding countryside. Since this is already my 4th time in Thailand, I already have the fundamental knowledge about Thailand, and so Bella adapted to my needs and shared a lot of advanced knowledge regarding Thai culture and history with me (highly appreciate that!). One thing to note is that the 6-hour route does require some energy and sort of riding skills. For people who don't often ride, better book the 3-hour program. Otherwise, for experienced cyclists, 6-hour package is great fun!

We had a wonderful day experiencing the beauty, history and jaw-dropping spirituality of Ayutthaya. We had Khun Gott as our tour guide and he was fabulous: great knowledge, English skills and humour. Well I'm thinking it would have to be all of the amazing Temples and she explained to me why the Buddhist statues were missing their heads .I also learned alot about the history of the capital of Thailand. Good tour thank you
