Erleben Sie Bulgarische Joghurtverkostung und Kulturgeschichte

Beschreibung

This event was honestly amazing. It felt super cozy, relaxed, and really like a family gathering. George and his mom welcomed us like we were part of the family from the very beginning. We got to taste different kinds of yogurt and pastries, and at the same time learn a lot in a really natural, easygoing way. George didn’t just talk about the history and how yogurt is made, he also shared so many interesting things about Bulgarian culture and showed us a lot too. Both him and his mom were so kind and friendly, it just made the whole experience feel really special. And the yoghurt was intergalactic! 😊 Thank you so much for the little gift and for the yogurt culture that Nadya packed for us to take home. My mom actually makes yogurt back in Slovakia, so she came here on what we jokingly called a “yogurt Erasmus” 😄 We really feel lucky to have been part of this workshop!
Dear Antonia, Thank you so much for your kind words! It was a true pleasure to host you and your mother. We absolutely love the idea of a “Yogurt Erasmus”—it’s the perfect way to describe the exchange of traditions between our cultures. Knowing that our sourdough and yogurt starters have traveled back to Slovakia to a fellow maker's kitchen makes us incredibly happy. For us, these sessions are not just about food; they are about keeping history and family warmth alive. It’s wonderful to hear that you felt like part of the family, as that is exactly the "living museum" atmosphere we strive to create. We hope the yogurt culture thrives in its new home! You are always welcome back for "Semester 2" of your Bulgarian journey. Warm regards, Nadia and George
I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience was really amazing. I learned so much about Bulgarian culture from the tour while tasking some delicious yogurt. It’s a family run tour, and you can really feel the love and effort they put into the tour. This was my favorite experience in Sofia and recommend it to everyone!
We were also glad to have you attending our yogurt tasting activity. You were a great audience and I really enjoyed our conversation. I hope you bring great memories from Bulgaria to Berlin. Sincerely George
We can absolutely recommend the yogurt tasting! We were welcomed so warmly and had a wonderful time at the wine bar. There were five different types of yogurt to try, which was really interesting because you could compare the different tastes so well. With an entertaining presentation we got to know the history of yogurt in Bulgaria, its production and its special feature. The yogurt was accompanied by various toppings, Bulgarian homemade pastries and drinks. All questions have been answered and the family is so warm and sympathetic! We would definitely book again. Thank you for the nice afternoon.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are truly happy to hear that you enjoyed the yogurt tasting and felt warmly welcomed. It was a pleasure to share five different types of Bulgarian yogurt with you, along with the stories behind their origins, production, and unique qualities. We’re glad you liked the homemade pastries, toppings, and drinks, and that the presentation was both interesting and enjoyable. Your kind words about our family mean a lot to us. You are always welcome back—anytime. Thank you for spending your afternoon with us!
George and his mum were the perfect hosts. Yoghurt was tasty and there were so many extras- wine, toppings, soured milk drink, sourdough cupcakes and filo pasty. George had extensive knowledge about yoghurt origins and we were able to ask him many questions about living in Bulgaria including culture and politics. I learnt a lot and would recommend to anyone- it’s alot more than a yogurt tasting and is set in the ancient ruins part of the city.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words! 🌿 We’re truly happy that you enjoyed the yogurt tasting and the little surprises that came with it. It means a lot to hear that you connected not only with the flavors but also with the stories and conversations about Bulgarian life and culture. George and his mum loved having you with us — your curiosity and openness made the experience even more special. Wishing you safe travels and hope to welcome you again for another taste of Bulgaria! 🇧🇬✨
It was a great experience to taste all of the Bulgarian yogurts and listen to the interesting history behind it. Will definitely do it again next Saturday:)
