Während dieser Tagestour reisen Sie mit der professionellen Führung Ihres Reiseleiters durch die Geschichte. Unsere Zeitreise beginnt in der Römerzeit, als Nis der Welt einen großen Mann schenkte - den römischen Kaiser Konstantin den Großen. Dann fahren wir weiter durch das Mittelalter und die Zeit der osmanischen Herrschaft, die Konstruktionen wie die Festung von Nis und den Totenturm hinterließ - ein Symbol des Kampfes für Freiheit und Unabhängigkeit von den Osmanen. Am Ende werden wir auf die moderne Geschichte und die Zeit der Besetzung des ehemaligen Jugoslawiens durch die Nazis aufmerksam machen und das Konzentrationslager der Nazis besuchen. Natürlich wird es nach all den Eindrücken, die Sie bekommen, Zeit für etwas Ruhe sein. Sie haben die Möglichkeit, die berühmte serbische Küche zu probieren - eine der köstlichsten auf dem Balkan.

Reiseverlauf
Ihr Reiseleiter holt Sie um 08:30 Uhr von Ihrer Unterkunft in Sofia ab. Nach ungefähr 2 Autostunden erreichen wir unseren ersten Anblick - den Medijana-Archäologiepark, der eine römische kaiserliche Residenz ist, die heutzutage wegen Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen ist.
Unsere nächste Station wird der Schädelturm sein, der auch als Cale kula bekannt ist. Der Turm ist heute ein Museum für die Bulgaren und Serben, die an der Revolte gegen das Osmanische Reich teilgenommen haben. Es wurde von den Türken gebaut und mit den Schädeln der getöteten Aufstände gebaut. Die Idee dieses Aktes war es, andere zu warnen, was passieren wird, wenn sie wieder aufstehen.
Nazi-Konzentrationslager - 1941 erbaut und berühmt für die erfolgreiche Flucht der Gefangenen im Frühjahr 1942. Das Lager ist perfekt erhalten und wurde nie beschädigt.
Danach fahren wir weiter in die Altstadt, wo wir die Festung Niš besichtigen. Dort sehen wir Ruinen aus der antiken Nisus- und späteren osmanischen Zeit. Wir werden einen Spaziergang machen und danach das traditionelle lokale Essen genießen.

This was my second trip with this company and it was excellent! I forgot the name of the guide (trip was done on 14 July 2026), but he did such an excellent job! Pick up was on time, the van was comfortable, and toilet breaks were scheduled as needed. The guide did a great job explaining all sites visited that include Constantine’s Villa, Skull Tower, one concentration camp, Nis Fortress, and the city center. Thank you for a great trip!
It was an excellent day learning about some history of Nis. It was a long day of driving, but very with it.

Our guided tour to Nis with Tuni was fantastic! The small group size of just five guests and comfortable, air-conditioned transportation made for a relaxed journey. We toured the Ottoman Skull Tower, Constantine’s Mediana ruins, and the former Nazi concentration camp, followed by a great walking tour and free time to explore Nis. Nis is interesting and I enjoyed this tour. Our guide Lubo was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. After a previous accident, I'm not a fan of motorways and the speed limits in Bulgaria are higher than what I'm used to but Lubo was a great driver and I felt very safe in his car. We had long queues at the borders but he kept us in good spirits. I would avoid this tour during the summer holidays as I believe the border queues are rediculous.

This was a great day trip and definitely worth doing if you want to get out of Sofia and see something completely different. Our day started with a bit of unexpected circumstances when our driver had a medical emergency. Thankfully, the company handled the situation incredibly well. They made sure their driver received the help he needed and quickly arranged another driver so our trip could continue with very little delay. We really appreciated how professional and caring they were. Once we arrived, everything was exactly as described. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and did a great job explaining the history and interesting facts along the way. He even gave us recommendations for places to eat, which was a nice bonus. It's a long day, but the scenery and experience make it absolutely worth it. We'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a taste of Serbia while in Sofia!
