I have never felt completely comfortable around horses; I wasn’t afraid of them, but I was never relaxed. I always found their size daunting, and, as flight animals, I thought they were nervous and hard to gauge. The lack of expression on their faces didn’t help! A session with Manjeev eased all my horse-related insecurities, and my only regret is that I didn’t undertake the course half a century earlier. With my love for animals, I am confident I would have been able to build a bond with horses. In fact, I have always envied people who have done so. I never imagined that horses could communicate with us humans – or that we could connect with them. I highly recommend this course to anyone who, like me, has been missing out on the enriching, rewarding relationships and meaningful interactions between horse and human. Manjeev has taught me a great deal, not only about horses but also about communication. If you work in or manage a team (a human one, not a horse team), you will have probably come across a team member who is uncommunicative, flighty, and evasive. Humans are not that different from horses; the skills Manjeev imparts can be applied to both.
I really enjoyed this horsemanship course. I knew it was not about riding ; yet I was surprised to see how much I learned about horse behavior, communication, and proper care. The course gave me a much deeper understanding of how horses think and respond, which has increased my confidence around them. The hands-on groundwork session was very valuable. Learning how to read the horse's signals (yes , they communicate!), how to lead, communicate back and handle the horse safely made me feel more connected and respectful toward it. The course took place in a beautiful countryside about 1 hour away from Jaipur; the ranch is owned and managed by an indian-french animal lovers couple Manjeev and Charlotte , really passionate about what they do and love sharing their knowledge. Manjeev was patient, knowledgeable, and always emphasized safety and partnership. This course showed me that horsemanship is about far more than riding—it’s about building trust, understanding body language, and caring for the horse properly. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to strengthen their foundation and relationship with horses, and think that it should be a must for anyone planning to own or regularly ride a horse.
