Great experience. So relaxed. Arrived at 930am and only a few people there. Staff was friendly. We were very relaxed and the views were fantastic.
Forest Lagoon, a modern and serene oasis, is one of our favorites. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring Akureyri. I highly recommend booking in advance and bringing your own robes. They also have a swim-up bar, which is a great way to end the day.

I had a chance to visit the Blue Lagoon, Sky Lagoon and Forest Lagoon while in Iceland. The Forest Lagoon was by far my favorite! It sits across the harbor from city center, providing great views of Akureyri. There’s plenty of space once you get into the pools providing you with an opportunity to spread out. There’s a couple of swim up bars, a cold plunge and a sauna – all very nice features to make your soak more enjoyable. We visited during July, the busy season…. The Lagoon was operating a shuttle to/from either the cruise port or city center. This was so convenient and saved us the hassle of finding a taxi.
Amazing experience staff very helpful and well priced, loads of room as well. Water was lovely and warm and the scenery was breathtaking.
Despite thinking we'd have to walk to the HOF visitors center to catch a shuttle, there was an official Forest Lagoon shuttle at the cruiseport that later returned us to the cruiseport also. The return is on a schedule, so check the time. With warm (~100F), warmer (~105F) and cold plunge (~55F) pools and a sauna to choose from, we spent most of the time in the 100F pool. It has a swim-up bar, and there are stone tables at the surface of the 4 foot deep water with benches to sit on so you're mostly underwater. A very nice place with beautiful views and friendly staff. If the Icelandic tradition of a naked pre-shower in front of others bothers you, no worries. Both the men's and women's showers have 4 individual shower stalls, each with a door.
Great for a small group or larger party. It is relaxing and exactly what it looks like in movies and advertisements. Relaxing and refreshing
