My group of 4 adults booked the Premium Package with transfer and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The premium package was a great value – it includes a robe, a drink, and three different masks, all of which were significantly cheaper than purchasing them individually at the Lagoon. (People kept stopping me to ask where I got my robe!) The transfer service from Reykjavik worked well, especially since we didn’t have a car. Just be sure to plan for extra time, as the pickup window and travel add a good buffer. We spent around 3 hours in the lagoon on a Saturday. We arrived at 10 am and the group felt ready to leave at 1, but honestly I wish we had stayed longer to enjoy the restaurant or the upstairs lounge area. Two tips: Go to the back of the lagoon to the adults only section. Although the lifeguards do their best, the lagoon gets 4 stars because the children ruin the tranquility. Make a reservation if you want to eat on the early side at the restaurant. There is also a cafe where you do not need reservations. Overall, a beautiful and memorable experience. Highly recommend!
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for the lovely review! We’re so happy you enjoyed the Premium Package (and that the robe became a star of the lagoon). Thank you as well for sharing your helpful tips with future guests. We’d love to welcome you back for an even longer, more relaxing visit next time! Warm regards, Marina Travel Team
Absolutely fantastic communication with your operator. Was punctual and easy to follow directions as to pickup and drop off

Lagoon experience was amazing. Bius Tickets - we and the transport staff were however unclear where to get paper/device tickets transferred but bus staff and lagoon staff proved helpful. It was unclear what the correct bus company was, even with barcode in hand. Some improved instructions on the confirmation would be useful but regardless, of the hiccup, staff were lovely and very helpful, it was an amazing experience once we got there. It would have only been better if the bus operators weren’t confused by whose bus we should be on. The confirmation didn’t state the bus company and provide the correct references. Both bus drivers were very confused. Paperwork info needs broadening to include bus company details in case of issue. So please check with the operator before you leave and get written confirmation details . We wasted a good half an hour - 15 mins both ends, with people not knowing if we were there customers. This meant we kept getting moved from one bus to another by drivers. It was slightly embarrassing.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your detailed feedback, and we’re very glad to hear that you enjoyed the lagoon experience and found the staff helpful and welcoming. We would like to clarify that situations like the one you described are quite unusual. In the confirmation email sent after booking, we provide detailed transportation instructions, including the pickup time window (which can be up to 30 minutes), the name displayed on the minibus, and the bus color to help identify the correct vehicle. As multiple buses often pass through the same stops, it is standard procedure for passengers to show their ticket to the driver to ensure they are boarding the correct transfer. While we understand this may have caused some temporary confusion, this process is generally in place to avoid passengers boarding the wrong bus and potentially missing their transfer altogether. That said, we truly appreciate your feedback and will review how we can make the instructions even clearer to help prevent any uncertainty in the future. We’re very pleased that you had an enjoyable overall experience, and we hope to welcome you again.
We've been to the blue lagoon before and that was great, just as it was last time, although we were a group of 11 but still had to wait a bit for help even though there was a specific line for groups of 10 or more. As for the transportation it wasn't bad but no where in the booking did it say you had to transfer multiple buses to get to and from the location. It was doable but I wouldn't have booked it if I knew that, especially since we had kids with us and were a larger party so ensuring that we could all fit on the same bus for each transfer was a tad stressful.
Dear Melissa, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the lagoon. Regarding the transportation, please note that this information is included in the meeting and pick-up description of the tour prior to booking. The exact information provided is as follows: “For Reykjavik pick-ups from the hotel or nearest bus stop, you will be picked up by a minibus and transferred to the Bus Terminal to join a coach bus that will take you to the Lagoon. You will be dropped off at the Blue Lagoon. The same procedure is applied for the return to Reykjavik.” Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming you back to Iceland in the future. Kind regards, Marina Travel Team
It was my 30th birthday and this was on my bucket list. You cannot even imagine how stunningly beautiful this place is, photos do not do this justice! If you have never been, then you need too. Its one of the wonders of the world for a reason! I bought the skincare to take home also as we did the premium package and got to try 3 of the masks while there and our skin has never felt so incredible and the whole trip was well worth the money.

Awesome experience. First, our driver was interesting and engaging. He told us all about the recent volcanic eruptions around the lagoon and what has been done to protect the area. When we got to the Blue Lagoon - it was such a wonderful and unique time. Our driver said people usually stay about 2 hours but we stayed a little over 3 hours and thought that was perfect. The locker rooms were clean and efficient. A couple of tips: the water is not good for your hair because of the silica. I tied my long hair up tightly, put a shower cap over it and a knit hat over that. I was so happy I wore the knit hat or my head and ears would have been really cold. Many people wear hats. And the shower cap kept my head from getting wet from the rain. Also, hang your robe inside. We hung our robes outside because it was beautiful when we first got in. However, while in the lagoon, we experienced everything from high winds to rain to sleet that felt like pin pricks and then it got beautiful again. By the time we got out, our robes were soaking wet. Didn’t hamper our experience, but I will hang my robe inside next time. If you feel weird about walking barefoot in communal spaces, you need to bring your own flip flops. They don’t hand them out. Also, don’t miss the multiple steam rooms and sauna around the lagoon. And when the weather kicks up, there is an inside part of the lagoon, but it was even cooler to find the nooks and crannies where you could shelter to get away from the weather (under the little bridges, in the rock cave, in the sheltered spot on the side of the waterfall). It was kind of a lovely community vibe to be hanging out under a cute little bridge with others. At the bar, we ordered the green smoothie and it was excellent. This is like nothing I have ever done. One other tip - I wondered if Sky Lagoon or Blue Lagoon would be better. Do both. They are very different and awesome experiences. And if you can only do one, the Blue Lagoon could disappear one day due to all the volcanic activity - and Sky Lagoon (a beautiful, warm infinity pool built into rock and overlooking the ocean) is probably the more luxurious of the two - so it depends upon what you want to prioritize. In retrospect, if I could only do one, it would be the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy!

Visiting the Blue Lagoon was one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland. From the moment you arrive, everything feels calm, well organised, and beautifully done. The setting itself is breathtaking — warm, milky-blue water surrounded by dramatic lava fields, with steam rising all around you. It feels otherworldly. The facilities are excellent: spotless changing areas, clear guidance throughout, and staff who are friendly, professional, and welcoming. Soaking in the lagoon is pure relaxation, even in cold weather. The water temperature is perfect, the silica mud masks are a lovely touch, and having a drink in the water just adds to the experience. Everything feels unhurried and indulgent, without ever being chaotic or overcrowded. This is one of those places that truly lives up to the hype. Peaceful, restorative, and incredibly memorable — if you’re visiting Iceland, the Blue Lagoon is absolutely worth it.

Highly recommend taking your own water shoes and getting the premium ticket. Go early and leave early to avoid the crowds. The buses back to the city start leaving around 1pm be at the pick up location with 10 to 14 before departure. The facility has shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and hairdryer. I decorating your own face moisturiser and other necessary toiletries. The food there is very expensive so be prepared to pay more for basic food items. If you can I would recommend eating somewhere else if you are traveling on a budget. You are not allowed to be in the lagoon area without a bathing suit.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for sharing these tips! They’re really helpful. I’m sure this will be very useful for anyone planning a visit. We also want to sincerely thank you for trusting us with your tour. It means a lot, and we’re glad you had a smooth experience. Best regards, Marina Travel Team
Everything about Blue Lagoon very well the experience is what was offered, however I do not understand the price of transportation since the premium entry is approximately 110 dollars on the page, that is each trip starts at approximately 120 dollars on a bus with many people at a preset time and stop (that was what I pay for a private taxi from the airport to the hotel that leaves me at the door at the time I decide) so I am not clear xq so expensive
Dear Olman, Thank you for your message. I’d like to clarify that the cost of this package is correct as it includes both the Blue Lagoon premium entrance and the shared roundtrip transportation, not just the entrance fee displayed at the lagoon reception. The full amount you paid covers the entire package, including a shared vehicle, with pick-up, and drop-off based on your entry time. Even if you were comparing it to the entrance cost at the lagoon reception, the package cost is naturally still more than the roughly $10 difference you calculated! 😊 We appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed your Blue Lagoon experience.
