Absolutely brilliant. Bastien the gentleman who gave the demonstration talk was so Informative but also so funny . Made the show very interesting.

Absolutely wonderful! Each row of seats are raised up as they go back so every seat has a great view. Super video and lots of interesting facts about the lava. Fun, informative, beautiful, 100% recommend.

We were in Iceland for 4 days, so we tried to maximize our exposure to Iceland. Our flight landed on a Sunday at 0930. We figured we would be a bit jet lagged and tired, but we still wanted to do stuff. We picked up our car at the Airport and drove to Reykjavik. Scoped out our apartment (couldn't check in until 1530) and drove around the downtown area to get a feel for the area. We did the Lava Show first (already had reservations) and after that, we did the FlyOver Iceland experience. We recommend both of these, especially on your first day there. They are very close to each other, so you could walk to both and they were both amazing. The Reykjavik Lava Show is really interesting/educational. It gives you good information about volcanoes and lava, that will allow you to understand what you are seeing when you are out in the wild Iceland terrain, or even in the city. Reykjavik is built on top of lava fields, so you can see lava everywhere you look in Iceland. The "Lava wrangler" at your show will give you a ton on information about the island, it's makeup, the volcanoes and how they have impacted the island. They also do an actual lava demonstration with lava that had originally flowed out of the Katla volcano that was active in 1918. They use the actual cooled lava and reheat it in their superhot furnace and it flows out into the observation area. The lava is VERY hot, since it is actual lava and the way it flows out is really neat. The "Lava wrangler" plays with it and explains various facts about the lava. You are allowed to take pictures and videos, just don't use flash. The show lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. Try to get a seat that you won't have to look around a person to be able to see. We went to a 1pm show on a Sunday and there were only about 20 people in the whole auditorium, so we were able to sit right next to the lava. Very cool (or hot!?). Afterwards, you walk out into the gift shop, so they try to get some more of you money before you leave. There is a grocery store very close to both of these experiences, so you can stock up on "cheap" food, so you don't spend a small fortune buying meals at restaurants. We highly recommend both the Lava Show and the FlyOver Iceland experience. The following 3 days we were there, we went horse back riding, saw MANY waterfalls, geysers, hot springs, volcanoes, lava fields, went through a giant lava tube and toured the geothermal facility that supplies Reykjavik with hot water and heat. We wish we would have had more time, but we needed to get to Amsterdam to start our European tour. You need to go to Iceland. Even if you go for a couple days. It's expensive, but it's unlike any other place you will ever go to.

Super fun show! The premium tickets get you balcony seats, a drink of your choice before hand in their lounge and the ability to put on one of the heat suits they wear. You also get a piece of glass lava, but those are sold in the gift shop for ~$15. I found the extra money was worth it for the premium seats, but there was only 2 of us.

This show was incredible! We sat in the front row and could sense how hot the lava was. The host, Jess, presented all of the information in a very easy to understand manner. She took time to answer everyone’s questions and really knew her stuff. The show was the perfect length of time (especially because it gets really hot in the room once the lava comes in) and the price of the ticket is extremely fair considering all of the information you learn. I would recommend this show to anyone!

The lava show is a unique and fun experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Reykjavik. Seeing lava up close and personal was super cool and the host of the show did a fantastic job.

It is a fantastic show- engaging, educational with just the right information. And seeing the lava was super cool! Also my husband was in a wheelchair and they were super accommodating making it easy for him to see and enjoy the show.

Totally recommend, such an interesting experience and gives a great understanding of how lava moves. Great to see and when exploring Iceland it really helps to understand the landscape, lovely bar area and great friendly staff as well.

An excellent show, presenter Ian was enthusiastic and knowledgeable interacted very well with the audience! The only disappointment - no gift wrapped piece of lava to take home.
