Die San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff sind die Überreste eines erodierten Stratovulkans und der höchste Punkt im Bundesstaat Arizona! In der Bergkette befindet sich auch das Skigebiet Arizona Snowbowl.
Sie sehen den größten Wald der Ponderosa-Kiefern und einen der vielfältigsten Nationalwälder des Landes, den Coconino National Forest. Während der Fahrt durch Flagstaff passieren wir sogar einen Abschnitt der berühmten Route 66.
Auf der Navajo-Reservierung machen wir eine Mittagspause in Cameron Arizona. Sie haben Zeit zum Einkaufen und die Aussicht auf den Little Colorado River Gorge zu genießen.
Der als Teil des Grand Canyon verwirrte Little Colorado River Outlook ist eigentlich ein separater kleiner Canyon, der in den Grand Canyon führt. Es ist einer der größten Nebenflüsse des Grand Canyon.
Am South Rim haben Sie mehrere Möglichkeiten zum Betrachten und Fotografieren (einschließlich einiger fantastischer Selfie-Momente). Sie fahren mit Ihrem Guide 26 Meilen entlang des Südrandes mit Haltestellen an verschiedenen Aussichtspunkten wie dem Desert View Watchtower und dem Grand Canyon Village mit dem historischen El Tovar Hotel und dem Hopi House. What a wonderful trip with Jim! We toured Sedona and all its sights with humour and interesting anecdotes everywhere we went. Jim was courteous, flexible to customise the tour to what we wanted, and tirelessly endured our chatter and questions. His bus was clean, USB ports everywhere and water on demand. I’d definitely recommend him for a private tour.
My wife and I spent the highlight of our vacation yesterday thanks to Jim of Vaughan’s Southwest Tours. It even outshone our much more expensive West Wind aerial + Hummer tour of the Grand Canyon, which we also loved. But Jim took such great care of us on the Sedona Tour that after a full day of sightseeing we were both awed by the magnificent scenery and grateful for having made a new friend. We will remember this experience forever.
Everything about this tour was amazing! You couldn’t possibly find a better tour guide than Jim Vaughan. He created the perfect itinerary for our family to see so many beautiful sites in one day. He knows so much about so many areas we wanted to see, he knows when and where to stop for the best food, what time to get to the grand canyon sites etc. We wouldn’t have seen half of what we did if we went on our own. Definitely the hightlight of our spring break trip!
We had a great day and tour of Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Mike was very knowledgeable and patient with 3 gabby women. It was a great tour and couldn't think of anything that would make it better
Jim is amazing! He took us to areas of the Grand Canyon that had amazing views and were not crowded. He added several other stops to show us things on the way. He took awesome pictures of our group and emailed them to us. I would definitely recommend him if you want to relax and enjoy the trip to and from the Grand Canyon and go to places at the Grand Canyon that many people are not aware of.
