Alex, you were amazing. At first, my husband and I were a bit nervous about riding bikes through the city if Heraklion, but once we started we knew we would be safe. Alex knew his way around and took us on back streets to avoid busy traffic. The olive oil tasting and wine tasting were lovely, really giving us an understanding of the beautiful culture of Crete. What a beautiful way to explore a new city, on a bike instead of inside a car. The bikes were very powerful and we biked the hills with ease. Thank you again!

The Bikes are large and heavy but have good acceleration. A good portion of the ride was in city traffic so it’s not for the faint of heart. That being said, my 5’0, 64 year old wife was able to handle it, but she is an experienced rider. The tastings were informative and fun and the scenery at higher elevations was wonderful.

The Eco Bike tour with Alex is an unbelievable, must-have, experience that my family and I recommend to all. First and foremost, Alex truly tries his best to be an amazing guide while also treating everyone as his close friends. Riding the electric bikes through the countryside with unbelievable views along the way was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had. The tour itself encompasses various aspects of the Cretan culture including olive oil tasting, wine tasting, and a surreal tour of Knossos Palace. Each individual tour was easily one of, if not the best, tours we have taken in Irakleio. Both the olive oil and wine tasting feature a tour of the cultivation process that is educational and interesting. Although the scenery speaks for itself, the guide that will accompany you at Knossos turns the tour into a wonderful story of the Minoan civilization. You will be taken to the most important parts of the Knosos Palace with the additional benefit of having an explanation of their significance. A word of caution that there is a bit of a learning curve to ride the electric bikes as they are motorized and also heavier than regular bikes; it may be difficult for someone who is not already very comfortable riding a bicycle, particularly through busy streets (at some points). Otherwise, we highly highly recommend this tour to everyone who visits Heraklion and if not this one then any tour with Alex as he is such a wonderful guide and a pleasure to spend time with.
This is a must do experience if you’re in Crete. It’s great doing walking tour and those by car, but nothing is better than cycling to explore the countryside with all what offers, ranging from nature and little towns — with every stop holding delightful moments. Thank you Alex and Maria!!
We totally enjoyed our experience!!! Our guide was so well informed…had a great sense of humor… was very fun to be around! We were able to see a lot of Heraklion in a fun way! We stopped for a delicious food break…and ended the tour with a very informative wine tasting! My husband and I and our two friends all highly recommend it!!!
My husband and I spent a beautiful day in Crete with Alec. Alec brought us to beautiful wine and olive countryside that we would never have gotten to on our own. We had an incredible lunch in a small town cafe and talked and laughed for an hour. Don’t miss beauty in a day with Alec!
This was a bike tour to Knossos & 2 villages . It was on E bikes, which we hadn’t been on before but we’re glad of them when we got used to it. Alex our guide led us safely through Heraklion to Knossos We had a guided tour there, which was good. Bring cash!!! The guides don’t take cards. Then onto a pretty village with multicoloured houses & a drink. Then onto the next village for a late lunch. Home cooked delicious food overlooking a of vines & olive groves. This is unspoilt Crete We were lucky there were only 2 of us on the tour & we were invited (extra!) to go to a taverna lit by candles with lots of homemade food & wine. True local experience. Excellent food, which just kept coming. Wonderful trip & would recommend it.
