Great with kids
What a fun museum and a unique way of telling the Irish story plus it was interactive and family friendly really couldn’t ask for more. We also did the 50 minute genealogy consultation and our gal was super knowledgeable and helpful. This is definitely a must for your Dublin itinerary.

An immersive and educational experience
Each room leads to discovering new information about the history of Ireland, and in an original way with different types of multimedia support. The audio guide in French available on the EPIC website allowed us to fully understand all the rooms.

Very informative & would Highly Recommend
Great Expierence, well presented and would highly recommend.
Only downside was that we had our tickets before arriving but still had to join the same queue as persons without tickets. The queue was quite long and we had to wait at least 15 mins as there was only one member of staff on duty.

Do not miss this museum!
This was an excellent, interactive museum experience. Probably one of the best museums I have ever been to. It would have been a great way to start out a trip to Ireland/Dublin. I went late in the day and it was not too busy. There were no children, but many of the activities/rooms had interactive elements that would have been interesting for kids. I was there for two hours, but could easily have spent another hour. (Honestly, I was worn out by the second half of the museum and could probably go back and do just that half again.) Make sure to utilize the audio guide (it’s not just a translation for non-English speakers).

Anyone with Irish ancestry should visit
The museum has a wealth of information. But the highlight for me was spending time with a genealogist. I learned more about my great grandmother’s family and more websites to check out.

Fascinating look into the history of Ireland and its people.
EPIC was definitely worth a visit from our hotel in Dublin.
You get to stamp a passport along the way to make sure you see everything.
From politics to culture and everything between, I learnt a lot from this museum.
Happy to see Snow Patrol (my favourite band) featured in the album section.
Watched the Riverdance bit a few times as brings back memories of my Nan.
Crowds were a good level and worth a visit even if you only can spare a few hours.
Highly recommended.

Good interactive experience
Very interesting self guided tour. Well executed interactive exhibition about history of Irish emigration and the influence the Irish have had all over the world. I especially enjoyed the history part and how the stories of individuals came to life. Parts of it was very moving too. We spent two hours inside. On entrance you're given a 'passport' which you can stamp on each room. I guess it's fun for kids but it does not really do anything. On hindsight, I would just skip the line to the stamping machine to save time. Outside there are lockers where you can leave your bags and jackets. Also by the entrance there are some cafes and bars to have a snack/lunch in. We went for lunch at Harbour Master Inn across the road. Presenting the EPIC entrance ticket you get a discount.

Don’t miss it, but allow time
We only had an hour spare, but will certainly go back tomorrow if we have time. There is lots to see, hear, and read concerning emigration and emigrants.

Enjoyed this immensely
I wasn't expecting much as I was pretty familiar with Irish history but I thought the variety of interactive experiences was pretty good. I really enjoyed the ability to stop and listen to the different stories being told. Especially liked the cultural sections.
