Die einzige ortseigene nichttouristische Food Tour von Spade & Palacio

Beschreibung

Danny did our tour (the owner of Spade and Palacio) and we could not stop raving about the tour and our experience doing this walking/food tour. Danny was not only funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and kind, but he showed us a side of Montreal that we never would have seen otherwise. He has created such a special experience where you truly understand how intertwined the communities are and get to meet the artisans themselves. I won't spoil the stops, but we met multiple small business owners and tried their foods. Each stop was different- a few sit down restaurants, a food market with stalls, a beverage stop, a quick bakery snack, and a boutique dessert store. We did a food tour the following day with a different company and the experience was night and day. If you want to really learn about Montreal and taste amazing food made by people who live and work in the city, not just in the touristy areas, this is the tour for you. The amount of walking was super reasonable, with a relaxed pace, so anyone can participate easily. We'll recommend this company to any friend going to Montreal or Philly!
This was a fun food tour. We enjoyed treats from many off the beaten path spots. We learned about Montreal's many unique neighbors and cultural hubs. While we ate a lot of delicious food, we did not walk away stuffed. Taking the tour piqued our interest in trying places that we would have otherwise missed.
We love Mel! A perfect selection of places to visit
An excellent tour. Chris our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and led us on a very enjoyable food tour incorporating a food market as well as restaurants small independent vendors and a chocolatier, all tasting experiences were fantastic and the pace was perfectly timed to ensure we gained the most from this memorable experience. Thank you Chris .
We had Fred as our guide and they were so awesome and energetic. The places we saw were so cool, it was just a great time.
Christopher was very friendly accommodating and knowledgeable.
We had a really beautiful afternoon with Raphaël, who introduced us to plenty of great counters and restaurants in our city. We tasted a multitude of fresh products. He knew the neighborhood very well and was able to teach us about the history and culture that surrounded us. He was very friendly and great company.
This tour lives up to its name! I have been on several food tours while traveling, and this was definitely one of my favorites! Danny was our guide and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and passionate about this area, I learned a lot and I felt like I was taking a walk with an old friend. He certainly made everyone feel welcome. I enjoyed all of the stops, starting with the San Salvadoran restaurant. The farmer’s market was awesome. I really liked the goat cheese we tried. Our tour ended at a fabulous bean to bar chocolate shop. Very tasty and a great way to end the tour. Highly recommend!
What a lovely way to spend an afternoon! Jesse was our guide and he was excellent! We learned a lot on this tour and had plenty of tasty bites throughout the day. It was a good mix of different types of foods and we loved that we were supporting small and local businesses. Definitely come hungry! There were 8 different tastings (if I remember correctly) and all spaced out well. We were able to explore a part of Montreal that we may not have ventured otherwise. Would definitely recommend!
Great experience. Very easy to enjoy. Jesse was great, shared information about the area and food, was responsive to questions and made for an enjoyable afternoon experience.
