Sie erhalten einen traditionellen afrikanischen Namen und genießen ein Dorfleben wie Tontöpferei und in einer traditionellen kulturellen Aufführung, die gezeigt wird, um Sie in der Gemeinde zu begrüßen. Diese Erfahrung ist ausschließlich den Nachkommen vorbehalten, da es sich um eine heilige Pilgerfahrt handelt, die sich auf Heilung und Wiederverbindung konzentriert. Nicht-Nachkommen dürfen nur beitreten, wenn sie Ehepartner oder schwarzes Familienmitglied eines Teilnehmers sind. Es ist eine energieerhöhende Reise, die es Ihnen ermöglicht, mitzuerleben, wie Afrikaner einst als Könige und Königinnen in ihren Heimatländern lebten, bevor sie in die Verliese der Kapküste gestohlen und in die "Neue Welt" entführt wurden. Wir empfehlen Ihnen, ein bisschen Bargeld mitzunehmen, da Sie vielleicht einige der schönen Afrikaner Perlen als Geschenke nach Hause kaufen möchten, und auch ein bisschen Spende, um zu unterstützen und zu erhöhen, was sie tun! Reiseverlauf
8:00 Uhr Abfahrt vom Accra Hotel/Residence zum Dorf in einem klimatisierten Fahrzeug. Ankunft gegen 10:00 Uhr. Wir werden zuerst einen Höflichkeitsbesuch bei den Häuptlingen und traditionellen Führern der Gemeinde abstatten, wo wir mit Trommeln und Tanzen begrüßt werden und traditionelle afrikanische Namen erhalten.
Anschließend fahren wir zum atemberaubenden Voltasee und genießen ein fantastisches Mittagessen in einem Restaurant am Seeufer. Der Voltasee ist der größte künstliche See Afrikas und der zweitgrößte der Welt.
Shai Hills ist das nächstgelegene nationale Wildparkreservat in Accra, wo wir während der Fahrt einige Paviane sehen können. Wir können vorbeischauen, um Fotos zu machen und unsere Reise zurück nach Accra fortzusetzen

Loved this tour. Our tour guide and driver were very good. The vehicle was very nice. Water was provided. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, helpful, kind and patient. The naming ceremony was awesome. The village people were so warm and welcoming. A very incredible and memorable experience.

Our tour guide Toufic was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, the culture, and the community called Torgome. Where our Naming ceremony was held, with the tribe, Ewes located in the Volta Region knew Toufic well. Toufic called ahead to inform the tribe of our arrival time which made the welcome of our presence so exciting. Lastly, Toufic took us to the Volta lake, explaining it was the 2nd largest man made lake which was very beautiful and to enjoy lunch at the amazing Restaurant called Afrikiko, put the cherry on top of everything. Overall, an amazing experience and great atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon and hope our tour guide will again be with Toufic. Happy 50th birthday to ME! Toufic is the best tour guide that Ghana has to offer. Not only does he have an amazing personality but his astute observations help you to better understand the culture. It was the highlight of my trip to have the naming ceremony after visiting Slave River and Elmina Castle. The entire community are so welcoming upon your arrival. Please be prepared to give a gift to the Chief after the ceremony. I didn’t know what give before getting on my flight so I gave some cedis. Lunch was great and the view of Lake Volta was stunning. I’d recommend this to any descendant looking to learn about the traditions of your ancestors. It truly was a highlight for my trip. Request Toufic after you book.

From the moment our guide, Kobe, picked us up, we felt like family. His energy was like we knew each other since birth and he spoke to us from a place of love and protection. He is very knowledgeable about our past and present while remaining hopeful for what the future brings to Ghana. When we arrived in the Volta Region, the children greeted us like little cousins who haven't seen us in so long! The elders embraced us with a true "welcome back home, we miss you" energy. We walked through the village and greeted our neighbors. Walked to the clear river and took in the beauty of the area. Then walked back to dance and laugh and hug our people. The naming ritual was spiritual and authentic to the Region. The names chosen by the elders fit each of us PERFECTLY!!! The blessings received were given in abundance and I am forever grateful for this experience.
