Fahren Sie durch die fruchtbare Ebene von Beotia, durchqueren Sie die Städte Theben – verbunden mit der Tragödie von König Ödipus – und die Stadt Levadia und genießen Sie eine Rast. Sie erreichen die antike archäologische Stätte Delphi – in der Antike als Nabel der Welt bekannt – den „Omphalos“, dessen Ansehen weit über die Grenzen der hellenischen Welt hinausreichte. Sie treffen Ihren offiziellen Reiseleiter und Ihre Tour beginnt. Fahren Sie an der Quelle von Kastalien vorbei, besuchen Sie die archäologische Stätte und sehen Sie das Monument der argivischen Könige, die Schatzkammer der Athener, die Athener Stoa, die Polygonale Mauer, das Monument von Platea und den Apollontempel, der für sein Orakel berühmt ist.

Kurzer Halt bei „Die Tholos von Delphi“ gehört zu den antiken Bauten des Heiligtums der Athena Pronaia in Delphi. Der runde Tempel, eine „Tholos“, steht direkt am selben Standort wie andere antike Fundamente des Tempels der Athena Pronaia, die alle weniger als eine Meile östlich der Hauptruinen von Delphi liegen. Die „Tholos“ ist Teil des UNESCO-Welterbes Delphi.
Nach Abschluss Ihrer Führung werden Sie zum Mittagessen (auf eigene Kosten) in das moderne Dorf Delphi gebracht und haben Zeit für einen Spaziergang durch die Gassen
Wenn Sie Delphi hinter sich lassen, kehren Sie über das malerische traditionelle Bergdorf Arachova (kurzer Halt für 20'), das an den Südhängen des Parnassus erbaut wurde, nach Athen zurück. Diese Tour kehrt am späten Nachmittag nach Athen zurück und bringt Sie zu Ihrem Hotel.
Abholung und Rücktransport sind von Hotels und Apartments im Umkreis des Athener Zentrums inbegriffen. Make sure you bring sturdy shoes as there is a lot of step climbing involved. The views are worth it though.! Vivian and Perocles may for a very good guide and drive combination. Vivian chose the lunch spot in Delphi and got us a special table right by the window. We especially enjoyed a small group which made for a more personal experience. Amazing journey through the Greek countryside and well worth the time and effort.
long ride from Athens but worth it. along the way there are great views of this part of Greece outside Athens. the mountains are especially beautiful. Delphi is truly impressive with an awesome display of artifacts. the trip guide was wonderful and the museum guide was extremely knowledgeable and engaging
Guide Lilly excellent. Van was too tight. We bought a small group tour, but there were 19 people on board.
Both of our guides were very knowledgeable and attentive. Our lunch spot was also very enjoyable. Highly recommend.
Delphi is breathtaking and absolutely worth going to. However, the bus tour guide and pace of the tour made the day a drag. After only being on the bus for 40 minutes we had our first stop at a truck stop for 30 minutes while the guide had a huge sandwich and smoked a cigarette. That was unnecessary. Another stop at Arachova was beautiful, but by the time we got to Delphi, waited around for at least another 20 minutes, went through the museum, and got to the main attraction of the archeological site, the day felt like a let down. We only had brief time at the archeological site before stopping again for a lengthy late lunch, which was nice but seemed an unnecessary use of time. The day just felt like a lot of filler for a disappointingly short time at the main attraction.

We would, however, like to clarify a few points regarding the itinerary. The stops made during the journey are scheduled in accordance with the required driving and rest-time regulations for professional drivers. These breaks are necessary for the safe and lawful operation of the tour and are not added simply to fill time. The stop in Arachova is also a scheduled part of the published itinerary, allowing our guests to experience this beautiful mountain village on the way to Delphi. At Delphi, the guided visit to the Archaeological Museum and archaeological site lasts approximately 1.5 hours. This is followed by free time in Delphi village, during which guests may choose to have lunch, explore independently, or simply enjoy the village and its surroundings. Lunch is not compulsory and guests are free to decide how they wish to use this time. On this occasion, the tour was operated according to the scheduled itinerary, with particular attention to passenger safety, the proper execution of the program, and an appropriate balance between the guided visits and guests’ free time. We appreciate your feedback and understand that some travelers may prefer an itinerary focused almost exclusively on the archaeological site. Our day tour, however, is designed as a complete Delphi experience, including the journey, Arachova, the archaeological site and museum, and free time in Delphi village. Thank you.
I enjoyed my time doing this tour. Firstly, Yota was an amazing guide. Bubbly courteous friendly and helpful. She seems to know a lot and truly enjoy what she is doing. The pick up was a breeze, super comfortable in a small well air conditioned luxury van/minibus. They were even earlier than the time they said they will pick me up. The driver drove safely and smoothly. We didn’t have any trouble along the way. Another guide met us at the museum. They lend us wireless earphone ti hear the guide as she walked us and explained important aspects in the museum and later at the Delphi complex. After that we were picked up by our private minibus and went to have lunch at this taverna with overlooking views in Delphi town. The food was great and priced fairly.
Fantastic trip to the sacred ruins in Delphi is a bit more relaxed town some of the one day trips. Great small group today and fantastic place to share a group lunch and meet some other like solo travelers. Love the ruins and this might be my all time favorite.
The museum is great but the actual ruins are small and a disappointment. But our guide was very k owledgeable
Magnificent day!!! Our guide Mirta was well organized, full of interesting information about Greek mythology, and super kind. During lunch, she gave us excellent recommendations. A small-group tour to Delphi is really worth it. The vehicle to get there was comfortable and in excellent condition.
Mirta the guide wa amazing. She was thoughtful and made the effort to get to know all our our names. The driver paracles (we think that’s his name !) was great. Out tour guide Georgia was so knowledgeable. Mirta took us to an amazing restaurant in Delphi as well. Beautiful view
