Diese halbtägige Kleingruppentour beginnt damit, dass wir Sie von Ihrem Hotel oder Appartement abholen. Sollte Ihr Hotel/Appartement nicht erreichbar sein (z.B. Fußgängerzone), werden wir Ihnen einen nahegelegenen Standort zur Abholung nennen.
Sie fahren auf Küstenstraßen, die durch einige der schönsten Vororte Athens führen (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) und beobachten einige erstaunliche Ausblicke auf den Saronischen Golf sowie die modernen südlichen Vororte von Athen.
Ein kurzer Zwischenstopp für tolle Fotos an einem der meistfotografierten Orte in Athen. Der Vouliagmeni-See ist das Ergebnis einer Vulkanerosion, die unter dem Meeresspiegel liegt. Ein See am Meer, sicherlich einzigartig!
Nach einer 50-minütigen Fahrt entlang der Küstenstraße und der Fahrt durch idyllische Strände und kleine Dörfer haben Sie Ihren ersten Halt an einem nahe gelegenen Strand. Excellent tour, activity level is up to you. You can either walk up to see the sunset over Posiedon’s temple or from the cafe.
I want to give an accounting of the trip we took on Monday, July 20th. We were picked up at our hotel at 4:10 pm and loaded into a sprinter van. The van was hot and only got hotter as we proceeded to stop at three other hotels around Athens. We got on our way to the first excursion site location perhaps about forty minutes after our pick up. The van was hot and the ac was either not working properly or it was too hot for it to keep up. It was then difficult to listen to our guide, Roy, as she talked, because it was just hot. We went to the lake first and I agree with other reviewers that it could be skipped altogether. The beach stop was next. This was very nice but we arrived at around 6:20, so two hours for us in the van having yet to see little and suffering through the heat. In addition, the people located in the back indicated twice that they could not hear Roy but Roy continued to sit facing forward in the front passenger seat and talking into the microphone, seemingly not knowing that we were all dismayed by the heat and lack of interest in her making a genuine connection. We finally arrive at the temple at around 7:45 and stayed there until 9:15 or so. It was a magical experience. Truly beautiful and worth the trip. We were the last to be dropped at home and did not arrive home until around 10:30 pm. I wonder honestly if there is a more cost effective and direct way to do this excursion. If you have time, patience and personal fan, it may be worth it but otherwise I would consider going to the beach and temple without the assistance of Getaway Greece because the trip was long, hot and the guide offered little.

Regarding the weather conditions, July 20 was one of the hottest days of the summer, with extreme temperatures affecting the entire Athens region. We fully understand that traveling during a heatwave can be uncomfortable. To help mitigate the effects of the high temperatures, we had already reduced the passenger capacity of our vehicles below their normal operating limit in order to lessen the load on the air conditioning system and improve overall comfort. While we made every reasonable effort to provide the best possible experience under these exceptional conditions, we regret that the heat still impacted your journey. With regard to the stop at Lake Vouliagmeni, this is an integral part of the tour itinerary. It offers guests the opportunity to enjoy the scenic views and stretch their legs after the pickup process and the drive along the Athens Riviera. This stop is clearly described in the published itinerary before booking, and therefore it is not possible to omit it during the tour. Regarding your comments about the tour leader, we are sorry to learn that some guests experienced difficulty hearing the commentary. Although we are unable to establish a direct connection between the unusually high temperatures and the audio experience, we take your feedback seriously. We will review this specific case internally and continue strengthening our staff training to ensure that communication with all guests remains as clear and engaging as possible throughout the tour. Great tour. Would recommend it. The coastline is beautiful will all its white sand beaches and thermal lake. And of course the temple of Poseidon is awesome.
We stayed in the city center so this tour showed us another side of Athens. The views were awesome as we were driving to the Temple of Poseidon. The sunset views from the Temple of Poseidon were breathtaking. The guide was very passionate about the culture and history of Greece.

Overall the tour got us to where we wanted to go, the Temple of poseidon. From the description it sounded like a stop at a nice beach. The stop was 1 1/2 hours and the beach wasn't that impressive, the only thing to do there is spend money at the only restaurant on the "beach". Guide was great. Van was comfortable. But the driver was not so safe. He constantly drove 2-3 meters behind any car in front of us, even on the twisty single lane mountain roads. It's single lane- you can't pass! Why drive our van right behind some car and make a dangerous situation?
We had the most wonderful time with Maria and Alex. Great communication from the company as well! This was a perfect afternoon and an incredible part of our trip. We learned so much! The beach stop was amazing and a nice outing to break up the trip— we went in the afternoon and saw the sun set at the temple which was spectacular! Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed my tour through beautiful scenic countryside. Our guide was delightful! She was very entertaining and informative. The Temple of Poseidon was fascinating. We also enjoyed a relaxing stop at a beach.
