We toured the Museum and Art Gallery as one of the few activities that are free. Blown away by the Aboriginal Artwork on display it was fabulous. Particularly liked the grass weaving and the length of printed cloth. Amazing artworks of campsites and tradtional lifestyle, dreamtime images and more. The colours were incredible and clearly not traditional but demonstrated how the aetwork has changed. The museum had some facinating peices, in particular the termite mound with the bird on top. All the birds appeared to be smaller than i expected, but perhaps i'm just used to those in the south west of Western Australia. All well worth the visit and so was the cafe.

It was a great bus ride, very informative commentary. We were able to hop on and hop off at our leisure. The Darwin Military Museum at East Point was well worth the visit. I would definitely recommend the hop on hop off trip.
Very good to get a tour of Darwin and to stop at some highlights when one doesn’t want to hire a car. I just found the 1 hour timetable a bit inconvenient. I either had to shorten my time or lengthen it. A 30 minute timetable would be more favourable. I did manage to do the Art Gallery, the War Museum and the Botanic Gardens, but the constant watching of time due to not wanting to miss the bus and wait another 60 minutes became frustrating. I did a 2 day pass. First day was a public holiday which meant everything shut earlier than usual. Staff were lovely.
We had a short time to spend in Darwin before our flight and the bus tour was perfect. We stayed on the bus through the entire circuit and saw most of the highlights of the city. We were on the first bus and it ran on time.

A very well worked out route to help tourists fully access what Darwin offers. First stop for us was the fantastic NT museum. We loved it all but the cyclone Tracey gallery was very impressive.Cafe good too. Then onto the extensive military museum inside and out and then back to the port to experience the Royal Flying Doctors virtual reality re creation of the Japanese attack on Darwin in WW2. All possible in one day and be back for sundowners .
The hop on hop off bus was a great experience and a good way to get to know the city of Darwin! The commentary was informative and enjoyable!
Great way to get an overview of Darwin with appropriate commentary. The ability to hop off and on allowed you time to complete mini tours of different points of interest . It was well worth the price and a day allowed you to get good understanding of the layout of Darwin
A great way to get around Darwin and see the attractions. I had a bit over half a day to fill in and this was the perfect way to do it with getting off at the museum for a look.
