Machen Sie sich bereit für ein unvergessliches Abenteuer durch den Süden der Dominikanischen Republik. Wir beginnen bei den beeindruckenden Dünen von Las Calderas, einem Paradies aus goldenem Sand, das von einem anderen Planeten zu stammen scheint. Diese in der Karibik einzigartige tropische Wüste lädt Sie ein, ihre Weite zu erkunden, unglaubliche Fotos zu machen und auf einem Sandboard ihre sanften Hügel hinunterzugleiten. Anschließend fahren wir zum wunderschönen Strand El Derrumbao. Nach einer kurzen Wanderung erreichen wir einen spektakulären Schnorchelplatz, wo Sie in klares, ruhiges Wasser eintauchen und die Meereswelt entdecken. Sie werden alles sehen, von bunten Fischen bis hin zu riesigen Fischschwärmen, die perfekt synchron schwimmen. Das Abenteuer geht weiter mit einem Besuch im Iguana Parador, wo Sie die Tiere füttern und ihnen ganz nah kommen können. Zum Abschluss der Tour erkunden wir die Salzminen, die Heimat des berühmten rosa Wassers, ein Naturschauspiel, das wie aus einem Traum erscheint.

Reiseverlauf
Nachdem wir die Dünen verlassen haben, fahren wir in Richtung Strand El Derrumbao. Dort machen wir einen 15- bis 20-minütigen Spaziergang zum Schnorchelplatz, wo Ihr Wasserabenteuer beginnt. Bei diesem Erlebnis können Sie die lokale Meeresfauna beobachten und haben die Chance, alles zu sehen, vom farbenfrohen Papageienfisch bis hin zu beeindruckenden Schwärmen von Tausenden von Fischen.
Wir kommen am Eingang zu den Dünen an, wo Ihnen der Guide ein Zugangsarmband anlegt und Ihnen Ihre Sandboards gibt. Anschließend beginnen wir eine 10- bis 15-minütige Wanderung, bei der Sie Fotos von der atemberaubenden Landschaft der Großen Dominikanischen Wüste machen können. Darüber hinaus haben sie die Möglichkeit, Bretter zu benutzen und auf dem weichen, feinen Sand zu rutschen.

Jonathan Tineo @djtineo was a great tour guide. He is knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and is very cool! He recommends well and gives you time to enjoy the activities. He was also our photographer and shared the pictures with us. At the end of the excursion, he dropped us back off at our Airbnb which was very nice.
Had a fantastic experience-easily the best part of my trip to the Dominican Republic overall. Jonathan did a great job as a guide and host and his passion for showing parts of the country not well explored by tourists was admirable. If you ever need a break from the hustle and bustle of Santo Domingo, please consider this tour-the natural beauty of the Bani area can't be overstated.

Excellent experience all around with an excellent guide
Everything went exactly as planned and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. The visit to Dunas de Baní was incredible — the landscape truly feels like a desert, and the short hike to the dunes was enjoyable with plenty of opportunities to take amazing photos. Sandboarding was a lot of fun, and the guides made sure everyone felt comfortable and prepared. After the dunes, we headed to El Derrumbao Beach, where we took a short hike to the snorkeling spot. The walk was easy and scenic, and the water adventure was definitely a highlight. The snorkeling experience was beautiful, with lots of marine life to observe, including colorful fish and large schools swimming around us. The guides were organized, friendly, and everything ran on time. Overall, a well-planned activity that delivered exactly what was promised — highly recommended for anyone looking for adventure and nature in one experience.
I loved this tour. We visited uncrowded places, which made the experience much more special and quiet. We were able to enjoy each place without crowds and connect better with the environment. I definitely recommend it.
Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable! Mostly I enjoyed feeding the Iguanas some romain lettuce. Fun day!
It was a fantastic experience. Jonathan was a wonderful guide. Very informative and a pleasure to be around. He was timely with his pick-ups and drop-offs. The beaches were gorgeous, and it was a magical experience seeing all those fish while snorkeling.Sandboarding down the dunes was a rush, and the view from the top was gorgeous. Do be mindful that if you go to the dunes, you’ll get sand literally everywhere. Highly recommend.
I am a Spanish professor, and I booked this trip to Santo Domingo as a way to relax and have some time to myself before the school year started. However, because I can't sit still, I booked this excursion, and I'm so glad that I did! I was able to try something new and exciting (the sand boarding), use my Spanish, relax in the ocean, and eat some delicious local cuisine. Thank you so much for a wonderful time! I can't wait to come back to Santo Domingo.
