Der Gangaramaya-Tempel ist einer der wichtigsten Tempel in Colombo, Sri Lanka, eine Mischung aus moderner Architektur und kultureller Essenz.
Die Independence Memorial Hall ist ein Nationaldenkmal in Sri Lanka, das zur Erinnerung an die Unabhängigkeit Sri Lankas von der britischen Herrschaft errichtet wurde. Am 4. Februar 1948 wurde die volle Regierungsverantwortung einer von Ceylonen gewählten Abgeordneten wiederhergestellt.
Die St. Lucia-Kathedrale ist der Sitz des Erzbischofs der römisch-katholischen Erzdiözese Colombo. Benannt nach der Jungfrau und Märtyrerin St. Lucia, gilt die Kathedrale als älteste und größte Pfarrkathedrale in Sri Lanka
Hindu Tempel
Bestehend aus 92 Handelsständen, von denen einige auf Booten am Beira-See eingerichtet sind. Der schwimmende Markt dient als Touristenattraktion, die lokale Produkte und lokales Kunsthandwerk verkauft.
Ausstellungszentrum
Der Turm wurde 1856-57 als Uhrenturm errichtet und diente auch als Leuchtturm. Der Leuchtturm wurde deaktiviert, nachdem sein Licht durch nahegelegene Gebäude verdunkelt wurde und am 12. Juli 1952 außer Betrieb genommen wurde. Der moderne Galle Buck Lighthouse wurde als Ersatz auf dem Marine Drive errichtet.

Tharaka is the best and most knowledgeable tour guide I have ever had. He was very punctual, flexible and helpful and he adjusted the tour based on my likings. He shared with me so many interesting facts about the country, the local religions and traditions. If you are visiting Sri Lanka, this tour should be on the top of your list!
Had great time in this tour.. Even though our flight was cancelled on the actually planned day, contacted Rajeewa via WhatsApp and he made process seamless and he was really helpful with answering all my questions and made everything easy. We were picked up from the Transit Hotel and everything was ready to roll. Diyath was my tour guide and was so nice and he also waited for us while we were getting ready and had lunch in the Hotel. He was very knowledgeable and was able to provide history of the places we visited. Though we didn’t had much time because of flight delays … but he made sure we covered most of the places which are open. He explained everything very nicely and was very kind. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a layover in Sri Lanka!👍👌

I was picked up from the hotel promptly. It was a Hindu festival and we visited the temple as well as 2 Buddhist temples. Also visited a food market and tasted several different fruits. Drove round to get a general idea of the city with several stops. Very relaxed and great information. Kumara had good English and was very friendly.
I found Sri Lanka by Car very well organised, the communication was prompt and helpful. They even provided a car seat for our 4 year old which was great. Godfrey was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge and answered any questions we had with ease. He gave choices along the way and anytime wanted to stop along the way it was never to much trouble. I would recommend Sri Lanka by Car they were very good.
Try start early in the morning so you have more time there to visit more places. Plan for a day trip if you have the time. You can try the chilli crab there too !
