01, während der ersten Erkundungsexpedition nach Lusitanian America, landeten die Portugiesen in Barra, verhandelten mit den Indianern und installierten dort ihr Besitzmuster. Es war Allerheiligen und sie nannten die große Bucht mit diesem Namen.
Pelourinho ist eng mit der Gründung Salvadors und der Entwicklung Brasiliens in der Kolonialzeit verbunden. Es ist der bekannteste Teil des historischen Zentrums von Salvador, das neben Pelourinho auch die Region Sé, Pilar und das Viertel Santo Antônio Além do Carmo umfasst.
Die Kirche ist São Francisco de Assis gewidmet und einer der besten Ausdrucksformen der Barockarchitektur in Brasilien. Es gibt unendlich viele Statuen, Engel und Gold, viel Gold!

Excellent excursion to learn about Bahian history and culture. Our guide was Alejandra, who is a scholar of the subject and was able to transmit her knowledge with great passion and charisma. They met the schedules. The transfer bus was new and always acclimated. Super recommended!!
