Although this review says GUIDED TOUR, we did not do that. We showed up with no reservation or booking and had a lovely cheese tasting, along with local jams, honey, wine, and salad. All delicious and worth trying. Before the tasting, we had a chance to look and go into a traditional stone house (that looked like my Pappou’s house) and a cheesery. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
We showed up without prior registration, which was not a problem in mid-September. First, we were guided around the grounds, learned how the ancestors of the hostess's husband laboriously performed their work, and then looked at the small dwelling and former cheese dairy. The highlight was then the cheese tasting. After the explanations of which cheese is best eaten with which honey, mustard, or fruit, we enjoyed it. I naturally took some spices, honey, and cheese with me as a souvenir. It was a lovely few hours in a pleasant atmosphere!
Had a lovely lunch here. Warm hospitality, lovely setting and great lunch with cheese platter wine and a few tasty extras. Very much recommended!

A truly amazing experience- plenty of local history and knowledge and some very fascinating insights into the old ways. An amazing cheese board and tasting experience also and I think it was great value for money. The guide was passionate and generous with her time and overall just wonderful. Very much recommend as your first stop on Ios.
