Was cancelled very late the evening before. Didn’t see the message until an hour before the activity was to happen the next morning. . Needless to say it didn’t happen and it was our only day in Charlottetown. Very disappointing.
I understand your frustration and I do apologize that it was last minute . But I did send you your refund and some options to reschedule and also some other options for things for you to do instead . Although you did forget to mention why it was cancelled . I had to cancel last minute as the guide doing the tour had to visit someone who was nearing the end of their life and had asked for the guide to visit them in Hospital (and has since passed away) . My other guides were already on tour and one who was off island for a medial appointment. I was also on a tour so unfortunately I wasn’t able to make it work . Like I said I’m sorry that you didn’t get to experience the tour . I hope you enjoyed our beautiful island . Josh
We had such a wonderful experience on our Charlottetown tour with Carolyn! She was incredibly knowledgeable and brought PEI’s history and culture to life in a way that made the tour both interesting and fun. What really stood out to us was Carolyn’s deep connection to the island and her roots in the area. You could tell how much she genuinely loves PEI and enjoys sharing its stories. She was so welcoming and happy to answer all of our questions, and we learned so much more than we ever could have by exploring on our own. The food tastings were a delicious bonus, and the oyster and moonshine experience was definitely a highlight and something we’ll remember! I left the tour feeling like I had a much better understanding and appreciation of PEI, its history, people, traditions, and what makes the island so special. It was a relaxed, personal experience that we really enjoyed. Thank you so much, Carolyn, for sharing your knowledge and love of PEI with us. You made our visit to Charlottetown even more memorable! ❤️
It was yummy and informative. I had a very good time walking around Charlottetown and learning about all there is to know about the town, it's history, the fishery and tourism in PEI. Would highly recommend.
Our guide knew a lot about PEI and the Charlottetown area. Very informative. Food was very good. Bad timing on the arrival at our 2nd stop.
An excellent time!!!! Ken was awesome. Super education of the area. He was outstanding in his explanation. Food was awesome. Highly recommend.
Our terrific guide, Carolyn, led our small group on the perfect blend of walking around the city center, learning about its rich and colorful history - including its central role in the creation of Canada - and sampling some of PEI's finest mussels, oysters, and a lobster roll dressed up right along the way! A perfectly lovely way to enjoy three hours that I highly recommend!
Excellent guide. The food was excellent but took 1.5 hours and 500 meters to get a quarter serving of mussels. Very small portions. The second serving after another hour was a lunch box with a delicious lobster roll. The last serving was a SINGLE oyster and a bad shot of something called moonshine. Make sure you have a hearty breakfast before going. The value was not great as compared to many other food tours I have attended. Ross from Kingston Ontario
Thank you for your feedback and for coming on the tour . Our tour combines history and food . The first stop is 1/4lb of mussels , then our 2nd stop is 1/2 a lobster roll with potato salad and 2 deep fried scallops . Then our last stop is a naked raw oyster which is the traditional way to have it and local moonshine . It is not meant to replace a whole meal but depending on the people some find it enough and others may not . With the price of seafood being high and trying to keep the tour relatively affordable we have to offer certain sizes , otherwise we would have to increase the price of the tour by quite a bit . For example scallops are at an all time high right now . The other thing to remember is the seafood isn’t coming by truck or plane , it is coming minutes and a few km away . Thank you again for your feedback . I hope you enjoy your time on PEI ! Josh
A great tour! Mark walked us through the town and had great insight on the history of Charlottetown (his family goes back several generations in Charlottetown) and the forming of the country of Canada. We had 3 stops along the way for lobster rolls, scallops, mussels and oysters which were all fantastic.
Carolyn our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge about historical events, fun facts, fisheries and PEI in general. We had a small group so the experience felt intimate and the pace was leisurely. The food samples were tasty and we went back to one stop for a full dinner! A great tour for adults and teens who enjoy history.
We throughly enjoyed our three hours with Ken learning a bit about Charlottetown history. The food at all three stops were authentic seafood focused; mussels, lobster roll and oyster and moonshine were all included. The amount of food was just right. We certainly weren’t ‘stuffed’ after compared to other food tours we have done elsewhere. We would recommend this tour and company to anyone in Charlottetown who wants to learn. Thanks Ken.
