CHANIA RETHYMNON KOURNAS, ganztägige, professionell geführte Bustour

Beschreibung

Long day..slightly confusing pickup..guide was good. Description of itinerary was somewhat misleading in that there really is not a guided tour of the towns. It's basically being dropped off in each place and you're on your own with some basic info given beforehand. The 2 towns were beautiful, the lake so so.
Thank you for your feedback. But I'm really surpriced because the guide Maria does for sure a guided tour in Rethymnon and Chania. And of course you have some free time. But it's the first time in all this years that someone says that there is no guided tour. Maybe you wanted the guided tour to be longer...
I have sent a separate email, the voucher said they were picking us up at Sisi Bay Hotel & Spa, the time on the voucher said 09.00, we had no communication saying anything else. We were waiting at 9am , coach did not turn up. We called and were told we were meant to be there at 7am. We are extremely disappointed, why put on the voucher 09.00? When that isn’t the time to be collected. We want a full refund.
We are really sorry that you were misinformed by your bookingsagent. Eye travel have send you on Aug 6, 2022, 12:02 PM a message with the pick up details. In our message it was mentioned 7 am. You can of course ask a refund at your bookingsagent.
I want to start by saying that the tour itself was an enjoyable experience. Our tour guide, Joy, was friendly, helpful and informative and it was lovely getting to see the sights of Crete (Chania and lunch at Lake Kournas were our personal highlights). .. However, our entire experience was devastated by the shuttle bus driver from Sparrow who collected us from our hotel (Aldemar Royal Mare). Essentially, when we went to enter the shuttle bus we tried to enter using the wrong door (the back passenger door rather than the front passenger door), at this point he proceeded to shout and swear at us in Greek, not knowing that we are, in fact, fluent in Greek. When we calmly told him that we understood what he had said and the slurs he had used towards us (which I will not repeat here) he became even more enraged and started driving recklessly and dangerously. He continued to swear at us until we arrived at the tour bus. He was completely unhinged, used appalling and offensive language towards us and drove so dangerously that we were both terrified at points. Despite how great the tour team were, I'd urge anyone staying in the Anissaras/Hersonissos region to AVOID THIS TOUR and others by this company as this individual is truly dangerous.
I'm really sorry to read this about this individual and apologize. He's already for a long time working for the company. He got his warning and I can assure you when we will receive an other complain that the necessary action will be taken.
Chania old town was the best for us. Beautiful cafes and shops up the narrow streets. The view of Kournas lake was amazing with the mountains in the background. The only difficult thing was the length of the day and journey back. We were picked up 7.40 and returned 9.30. Be prepared for a long day but great experience . The guide joy was very friendly and had so much information about crete. We learnt quite a lot.
Thank you for your very informative feedback. It can be a long day. It depends from where you are picked up.
Lovely day. Tour guide was a bit condescending when answering questions but the tour was informative and scenery was beautiful.
Thank you for your feedback. Sorry for the feeling the guide gave you. I will speak about this.
It was a wonderful tour and a beautiful day. I do wish that we had more time at lake kournas but overall, the van driver was on time, the bus driver drove safely and the ride was very comfortable, the tour left promptly at each stop and the tour guide gave us a lot of information about the island. It was great, thank you.
Thank you for your feedback!
We thoroughly enjoyed both our trips with Eye travel; Knossos & Lesithi & Western Crete. They were excellently organised, both in advance, and on the day! We really appreciated your prompt and helpful responses to our questions before we booked. The coaches arrived promptly and both guides gave us a wonderful commentary. Everything and everyone was very efficient and welcoming. The tours themselves gave us a good contrast and enabled us to see quite a lot of the island, and ran well to time, yet we hardly ever felt rushed. Western Crete;- The landscape and commentary during our trip was wonderful. The opportunity to visit two other cities, Rethymnon and Chania, and have free time to explore was really good, and the time allowed for each of these stops was just perfect. Lake Kournos for lunch was beautiful. The day we visited has quite cloudy and windy, so we didn't mind not swimming too much, but there would not have been time to swim and have lunch there, which is a shame - this was the only stop which would have benefitted from a bit more time - another 30-45minutes would have given those who wished to time to swim or take a boat out as well as have their lunch.
Thank you so much for your feedback!
Chania had more to see than Rethymnon. Not enough time to swim. Not enough historical focus for us. Would have Iike a walking tour of each city rather than have free time for shopping.
Thank you for your feedback!
