Best Taco tour ever. So much fun, delicious tacos, nice people and a great authentic experience. We weren’t rushed and Ramiro was amazing. Definitely recommend!
Food and tour were AMAZING! A big thank you to Romero go the taking us around and being so accommodating! 1000/10 recommend!!
We were taken in a van with a driver who did not speak at all…..no English, no tour/ no history facts.Just got out at each spot and was served tacos. We didn’t know what to do or if we had a choice in ordering because our driver did not speak or instruct us. Tacos were good but we could have just ubered to a few places just as easily.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize that the tour did not meet your expectations. The experience is designed to provide not only great food, but also guidance and assistance throughout each stop. We are sorry to hear that the level of interaction and explanation was not what you anticipated. Your feedback regarding communication is very important to us. We understand how essential it is to feel informed and guided during a tour experience, especially when language plays a key role. We will be reviewing this internally to ensure clearer communication and expectations moving forward. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the tacos, but we regret that the overall experience did not feel as engaging as it should have. Thank you again for your honest feedback — it helps us improve.
Ramiro was a great guide and took us into the neighborhoods where we could sample the local cuisines representing various regions of Mexico. It was both very informative and really delicious! We were the only Gringos in the places we visited so we knew we were getting the real foodie experience! Thanks Ramiro!
The guide and the food and restaurants were great. Polite, professional and friendly. However, the tequila tasting was horrible. Soon as you exit van they take you to jewelry shop and pressure you to buy. The tequila tasting they tried to swindle me. My daughter like strawberry flavor and I coffee. Wanted 1 each small bottle. Gave me different bottle than the one tasted. I questioned the guy he days sant thing they just don't make the small bottle with the same label. The one she tasted had nice label trimmed in silver, raised and pretty blue. They packaged white and black label. We continued to walk through the store and guess what I found? Small strawberry flavored in the amalgamation bottle with blue and silver label. They say it's discounted for us and they tried to swindle us. Also had a gift shop, we've been in Cancun three days, we don't need anymore souvenirs. The guy from shop spoke to our guide and next thing you know guide is asking us if we wanted to go back to goofy shop. If they got rid of that harassing and scamming tour it would be a great tour.
Hello Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience. We truly appreciate your honesty, and we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the guide, as well as the food and restaurants, and that you found the service polite, professional, and friendly. That said, we are genuinely sorry to hear about your experience during the tequila tasting and shopping stop. We completely understand how uncomfortable and upsetting it can feel to be pressured to buy or to feel that the information provided was misleading. This is certainly not the experience we want our guests to have, and we regret that this part of the tour left such a negative impression. The tequila tasting and shop visit are intended to be optional cultural experiences, and guests should always feel free to participate or decline without any pressure. Your description of the situation, especially regarding the product labeling and pricing, is concerning, and we take this feedback very seriously. We will be sharing your comments with our operations team and the third-party vendor involved so this can be reviewed and addressed appropriately. We also apologize if the situation affected your interaction with the guide afterward. While our guides aim to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported, we understand how this moment may have added to your frustration. Your feedback is extremely valuable and helps us identify areas where improvements are clearly needed. We truly appreciate you pointing this out, and we hope that with adjustments, we can ensure future guests enjoy all aspects of the tour without feeling pressured or uncomfortable. Thank you again for sharing your experience. Best regards
Jackie and Mauricio really showed us a good time. Loved trying tacos from different regions and each one was unique and very authentic. The tequila was a plus! Great way to spend Thanksgiving!
Was not good at all the tacos didn't have any flavor the drinks were watered down i didn't eat one whole taco and I asked for an englush tour guide and my guide barely spoke english which made it even more difficult total ways of my money and I've been in 2 other taco tours which were great I shouldn't have tried something new

I definitely recommend this tour. I went with my husband and our 10 year old daughter. Our tour guide was so nice (I believe his name was Oswaldo?), he truly took great care of us and ensured a wonderful experience. You need to show up starving, because you’ll leave absolutely STUFFED. By the last two stops, I could only try a few bites of the tacos because I was so full. It was great to see some of the local culture, and every taco we tried was nothing short of incredible. We started with 2 different fish tacos at the first stop (WOW! These were so fresh and delicious), sopas on the best blue corn tortillas at stop # 2 (you have the choice of beef or pork and I highly recommend the pork over the beef!) stop # 3 was a choice of carne asada or chorizo tacos (we all picked one of each) and at the last stop we tried authentic birria with a delectable consume, and were even allowed to make our own tortillas!! (Great experience for our daughter). We were even offered churros at the finish of stop 3 but we just couldn’t fit any more food in our stomachs, knowing we still had more tacos to try. Each restaurant included amazing homemade salsas, soft drinks, bottled water, horchata, really any drink you wanted (besides alcohol - this would cost extra). I do, however, want to point out that the first stop on the tour, the “tequila tasting” is actually just a stop at a gift shop where they pressure you to buy jewelry and other souvenirs. You do get to taste as many tequilas and mezcals as you would like, but you’ll be pressured to make a purchase after. I didn’t see any other reviews mention this, so I wanted to forewarn anyone thinking about booking. Despite the unexpected start to the tour, we were overall very very VERY happy that we booked this one. 10/10 experience. If you love tacos, you won’t want to miss this!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and wonderful review! We’re thrilled to know that you, your husband, and your daughter had an excellent experience on the tour — especially with Oswaldo, who will be very happy to hear your kind words. We’re glad you enjoyed the variety of tacos and the cultural experience throughout each stop, especially the tortilla-making activity — it’s always a favorite for families! We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the tequila tasting stop. Your comments are very valuable, and we will review this with our team to ensure guests feel comfortable and never pressured to make purchases. Our goal is always to offer a fun and authentic experience, and your insight helps us improve. Thank you again for recommending us and for rating the tour 10/10. We’d be happy to welcome you back on another adventure soon — perhaps when you’re hungry enough for more tacos! Warm regards, Cancun Travel Experience
Excellent service, amazing food with a history of it, punctual, very personable. 20/10 recommend. The food is what you want when you come to Mexico. I would highly recommend this tour. Ramiro Santos is wonderful. Go hungry!! The tequilas are not your average either, learned a lot and tried many new things.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an AMAZING time on our food tour in Cancun with Ramiro S.! From start to finish, he made the experience fun, authentic, and full of flavor. Each stop offered something delicious and unique — from local tacos and traditional dishes to hidden gems we never would’ve found on our own. Ramiro was incredibly knowledgeable about the food, culture, and history of Cancun, and his passion really showed throughout the tour. He made everyone feel comfortable and included, and by the end, it felt like we were exploring the city with a friend. Come hungry, because by the end you’ll be in a food coma — but it’s so worth it! 🌮🇲🇽 If you’re visiting Cancun and want to experience real local food (not just the tourist spots), this tour is an absolute must. Thank you, Ramiro, for such a memorable and tasty experience!
