Black Sand Beach Reittour von Vik

Beschreibung

Great way to meet Icelandic horses up close and to ride on the black sand beach. Horses and staff were both very friendly. Got to go at a faster rate at the end! Short trip but worth it!
A great small-group riding tour on a beautiful beach! The horses were well-trained and we felt very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
It’s a fun way to enjoy the beach in Vik - great guides and sweet horses who are obviously well cared for. Would definitely do it again - my first horse ride!!
It was the first time on horses for most of our family and the children. The guides did a wonderful job and everyone had a lovely time. Riding out on to the black sand beaches offered great views. They helped to make this a approachable experience even for beginners and gave us a new appreciation for Horse riding. Nice activity in Vik.
I realized the evening before (Tuesday) that I had booked the wrong date - totally my fault! I messaged the company asking if we could reschedule until Thursday with the full expectation of needing to pay again. Wednesday morning they messaged back saying they were booked Thursday but to call early Thursday morning in case there were cancellations. I could see online Thursday morning there was one opening and several openings on Viator & TripAdvisor for both Friday & Saturday. When called, they denied any openings & said there were no cancellations. Getting off the phone, I looked and still saw several openings Friday & Saturday. My partner was heartbroken. I don't understand why they would want to lie & will take my future business elsewhere!
This was a great experience, made even better by the friendly staff. The horses were super nice! Well worth the money!
Great ride on the beach. Just the right amount of time. Very friendly staff. Great horses that were easy to ride
WOW! Best horseback riding ever! The scenery was unmatched. The horses were well behaved and clearly well cared for by the operator. I didnt want to go at first (I'm afraid of horses) but it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! They put me on Athena, an older horse who was extremely gentle. The guides were excellent and put me at ease!
Easy for all ages above 10 without any riding experience. We had a great time! There are three riders from the company riding along and showing the kids exactly what to do.
I had to lose 20 pounds in 3 months to make it under the 220 pound weight limit (including clothes, shoes, etc). They really do weigh you, so don't try to fake it. It was a very motivating goal and it worked. I got down to 212, which was needed and appreciated. It was a short ride, but very fun and scenic. Overall, it was worth it. The horses are indeed small, about 30% smaller than a quarter horse. They are very sweet and fun to ride. They have a smooth "tolt" gait and I would have loved to go for a full run down the beach (no go on that one). They ride English style which is only weird if you grew up riding Western style. You can tell the staff puts up with all us tourists because they love the horses, and think that's just fine. They were all pleasant enough. They all speak english fluently. Later in the day, we saw one of the guides training a horse out in the field and you could see the special bond they have. Overall it was a beautiful experience.
