Die Tour startet am Neptunbrunnen. Den ganzen Tag über genießen Sie einen der besten Ausflüge Berlins und entdecken die spannendsten Kapitel seiner Geschichte an wichtigen Orten – und das alles in einem komfortablen und hochwertigen Erlebnis.
Der erste Halt wird das Konzentrationslager sein. Während des Besuchs erfahren wir anhand der bis heute erhaltenen Gebäude mehr über die tägliche Arbeit der Gefangenen und wie sich der Alltag im Lager entfaltete. Wir werden ein Verständnis der komplexen Geschichte des Ortes durch die verschiedenen Denkmäler gewinnen, die im Laufe der Zeit an der Gedenkstätte platziert wurden, geprägt von verschiedenen Ideologien und historischen Perioden. Wir besuchen Orte wie: -Ausstellung "Todesmärsche" - Turm A: Sicherheitsmaßnahmen und Strafen - Kleines Lager: Baracken 38 und 39 - Lagergefängnis - Küche und Waschküche - Sowjetisches Denkmal von 1961 - Station Z - Krankenstation und Leichenhalle
Nach dem Besuch des Camps geht es nach Potsdam. Diese Stadt wurde schließlich zu einer königlichen Residenz, die viel von dem Glanz brachte, den wir heute sehen – Paläste und Gärten, in denen einst königliche Familien und ihre Höfe regierten und flanierten. Wir werden die Stadt mit unserem Fortgeschrittener erkunden und auch etwas Freizeit genießen, um sie in unserem eigenen Tempo zu entdecken.

This tour was exactly what I hoped it would be! Our guide Peter was so knowledgeable and friendly. Our visit to the picturesque Potsdam was the perfect cap to a heavy, yet important visit to Sachsenhausen. Definitely recommend this tour!
Our English tour was combined with a group on a Spanish tour. We were told it was only to share transportation. However, it was non stop switching from English to Spanish during hours of bus riding, which was very distracting. Because the guides had to share the time for speaking we felt we missed a lot of history. Our guide was fine, although he did repeat himself a lot. Also, we should have had advance knowledge that we would not stop for lunch until 2 pm. It was a long time - 8:30am until 2 pm, with no time for eating, as the driver didn’t allow food on the bus. I would not recommend this tour due to the format.

We would like to clarify that the English and Spanish groups only share the bus during the transfers, which are generally limited to a maximum of around 45 minutes to 1 hour. During these journeys, our guides do their best to balance the information provided in both languages as fairly as possible. All visits and explanations at the actual destinations, both at the concentration camp and in Potsdam, are conducted entirely in one language, with each group accompanied by its own guide. This means that the visits themselves are not conducted simultaneously in English and Spanish. We are sorry if this distinction was not clear when you booked the tour and if the format caused any inconvenience during the transfers. We also appreciate your comments regarding the lunch schedule and will take them into consideration when communicating the itinerary to our guests. Do not book as a solo traveler or as a person who does not look like your typical tourist visiting Germany. If you book, prepare to be singled out, targeted and harassed every time you board the bus. Do not look for your tour guide Mathais for assistance as he too encouraged the behavior. If you can tolerate embarrassment and bias all in the name of sight seeing and facts then book. However, to be treated fairly and like a human being , spend a tad more and book with another company. The sights were great and the tour guide was very passionate and knowledgable however you cant enjoy as you dread everytime you enter the bus.
Guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. She was excellent and brought the tour to life. She also spoke perfect English

Highly recommend this tour! One of the best I’ve ever been in. Sachsenhausen was compelling and an experience I’ll never forget while Potsdam was beautiful and I learned a whole side of history that I was less familiar with. The timing was great as the tour was a great balance of efficient and comprehensive and my tour guide was fantastic. Highly recommend!

This tour guide was knowledgeable and it can't be easy to explain this experience to others on what occurred in these camps. The guide was very respectful and even help lightened the mood during the 2nd part of the tour when explaining the ruling monarchies and palaces. I gave this 3 stars because there was an English and Spanish guide that took turns on the bus talking. I feel as we past places, either portion of the group was rushed when it was their time to hear the historical part and the connection you make with the people you guide is lost.

This was a very interesting day - we started in Sachsenhausen and Walid was extremely knowledgeable and brought the place to life for us, helping us understand the history in a way that we simply wouldn't have been able to do without him. He did so with a great blend of humour (when appropriate) and history. We then moved to Potsdam, which was a good contrast to the horrors of Sachsenhausen and a chance to decompress. The palace and gardens were impressive but I felt we were a bit rushed through in order to get into Potsdam town to have lunch (to be fair, we didn't get to the town until about 2pm by which time we were all hungry!). Once we had eaten, we had quite a long time to hang about in the town waiting to meet up again to start the journey home. The town was okay, but not that interesting. My preference would have been to have had lunch at Potsdam first and then, having eaten, spent more time enjoying the beautiful gardens attached to the palace, where we could have spent far longer than we had. We then travelled home in the coach and Walid continued to provide us with interesting facts about what we were passing along the way. We shared the trip with a Spanish group and the guides took it in turns to provide information - this was absolutely fine for us but it is worth being aware before you book that you are likely to be on a shared trip.

Matthias was a great guide and very knowledgeable on sachsenhausen and Potsdam. He made sure to answer any questions we had on the history of Germany and complicated history of east and west Germany.
