Byfjorden (der Cityfjord) mit seinen Wassertiefen von etwa 5 bis 350 Metern umrahmt die Stadt Bergen entlang ihrer Uferpromenade. Es ist auch ein natürliches Wahrzeichen, sichtbar von einem Großteil der Stadt, da es zwischen den sieben Bergen liegt, die Bergen umgeben. Der 15 Kilometer lange Fjord trennt die Insel Askøy vom Festland Bergen und führt direkt nördlich der Stadt Bergen auf dem Festland vorbei.
Der 4 Kilometer lange und bis zu 500 Meter tiefe Salhusfjord liegt zwischen Bergen und Alver Kommune. Der Fjord wird von der Nordhordlandbrücke überquert. Der Fjord hat seinen Namen vom Dorfgebiet Salhus. Im frühen 12. Jahrhundert befand sich dort eine Pension, damals als Sáluhus bekannt. Es fungierte als Verkehrsknotenpunkt für Nordhordland und war eine kleine Marktstadt. Es war einer der ersten industrialisierten Orte, als hier 1859 eine Strumpfwarenmanufaktur gegründet wurde.
Die Nordhordland-Brücke ist ein beeindruckendes Wahrzeichen nördlich von Bergen und führt die Küstenstraße über den breiten Salhusfjord. Sie wurde 1994 eröffnet und verbindet eine schlanke Seilspannweite mit einem langen Schwimmabschnitt und ist damit eine der markantesten Brückenkonstruktionen der Welt. Beim Überqueren öffnet sich die Landschaft mit einem atemberaubenden Blick auf Fjorde, Berge und Inseln – klassisches Westnorwegen vom Feinsten. Die Brücke ersetzte die ehemalige Fährverbindung und ist heute eine wichtige Verbindung zwischen Bergen und der Region Nordhordland, die Reisenden sowohl effiziente Transportmöglichkeiten als auch einen unvergesslichen Blick auf Norwegische Ingenieurskunst und Küstenschönheit bietet.
Der Osterfjord ist einer von drei Fjorden, die die Insel Osterøy umgeben. Der Fjord verläuft entlang der Gemeindegrenze von Lindås und Osterøy. Der Fjord beginnt am Romarheimsfjorden und fließt 27 Kilometer nach Westen, bevor er in der Nähe des Dorfes Knarvik am Zusammenfluss von vier Fjorden endet: Osterfjorden, Radfjorden (im Norden), Sørfjorden (im Süden) und Salhusfjorden (im Westen). Der Osterfjord ist in der Regel etwa 1 bis 3 Kilometer breit und der tiefste Punkt des Fjords erreicht eine Tiefe von 639 Metern unter dem Meeresspiegel
Kanalisierter Fluss mit Gezeitenwasser tief in den Osterfjord. Der Bach ist etwa 600 Meter lang und an der schmalsten Stelle zwischen 50 und 60 Meter breit. Mostraumen wurde um 1913 kanalisiert (gebaggert).

Amazing trip. Family of four-kids ages 10 and 13. All enjoyed. Went after doing the larger cruise through the Nærøyfjord and this was a great addition-exciting and much closer look at the fjords. Leader Maurius was great! Tips:arrive 20 min early so have time to get dressed. Wear warm clothes even under insulated suit-it gets cold at the boat speeds (and we are used to cold). Bring a water wallet for phone to wear around neck-that way you don’t worry about phone getting wet or dropping it! Boots are best or water proof shoes. 10year old found it a little long and uncomfy due to feet not reaching floor but would still do it again! Very interesting facts about salmon farming.
Amazing experience. Well worth the time and money. Beautiful scenery. We lucked out and saw a seal which was very exciting. Highly recommend this tour!
What an experience! We enjoyed the tour with our two kids (8y/10y) and it was just absolutely fantastic. Marius our captain was so kind and you could feel his dedication to Norway’s nature. With the same spirit he shared his insights about the fjords and we were lucky as well to spot a seal. NB, the provided gear was top notch (warm water-/weatherproof suits, google, balaclava and gloves where almost new and freshly cleaned/washed). We can highly recommend this tour to any Bergen visitor!
We really enjoyed the trip. We also had so much fun, and it was a uniqe way to see Bergen from. Only thing that is worth mentioning is that the soundtrack (guide) , that was played to explain things was a little low in volume. So it was hard to hear. We booked a 2,5 hours trip, and our bottoms became a little sore after. But other than that we really enjoyed it, and would defentley recomend it!
My 2 friends and I were so excited for this event. We enjoyed the first 30 minutes before we hit a channel indicator (metal pole in the water) at 60 knots. Our boat was ruined and we got rescued by an amazing Norwegian family. The Norwegian family took us to a town where we waited to be picked up. The captain of our boat mistakenly told us that this has happened before but it was his first time crashing. Every other member of the boat was leaving the next day but we weren’t leaving until Friday. The owner told us to come in the next morning at 0700 because their boat inventory has been cut in half. We came in and he said there could be a ride at 1700 so come back at 12 and he’ll know more. At 12, he said there wasn’t a ride at 5 but there’s two seats at 14:00. We came back at 13:30 to see if someone else would not make it so we can go on the last ride. They told us that it was full and come back in 15 minutes to see if we can go out when this boat comes back. We come back in 15 minutes and they tell us now that they can go out at 1700 but they will only do it if we pay $1200. Grateful that we didn’t get seriously injured.

We know this added to your frustration, and that was never our intention, we were genuinely trying to find a solution for you. We acknowledge that we did not handle this well enough, and we are sorry for the added frustration it caused. This is something we are learning from. All passengers were refunded in full. We had such a great time! It was amazing to be out in the open air to explore the Fjords of Norway! Marius was an excellent guide. it was not scary and we did not get wet for those who are worried about either. It was awesome!!
Loved the experience of seeing the fjords and the tiny villages from the water. The boat gets right next to the shear cliffs and it's really gorgeous. Marius was our driver and he taught us about the lives of those who live in the villages, the fjords themselves, the salmon farms we passed along the way and a whole lot more. Everybody was very kind and things are run on time and efficiently.
The experience was fantastic. The staff were extremely warm and attentive, checking in on every guest’s well-being. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Mallorca.
