BENAGIL BEACH – Nachdem wir uns getroffen und ausgerüstet haben, fahren wir gemeinsam zum Benagil Beach, wo die Kajaktour beginnt
BENAGIL CAVE – Kajaks nähern sich dem Strandrand für eine perfekte Aussicht, wenn das Sonnenlicht durch das Oberlicht strömt. Der Reiseführer teilt seine Geschichte und Geologie. Die Gäste nehmen Fotos auf, umgeben von hoch aufragenden Wänden, Wassergeräuschen und goldenem Licht.
PIRATENHÖHLE – Der Guide teilt die Legende der Höhle. Trotz des schmalen Eingangs öffnet es sich in einen geräumigen Innenraum. Wir paddeln von einer Seite zur anderen, wobei das Sonnenlicht das Wasser blau leuchtet – eine unvergessliche Szene.
ALGORINHO-HÖHLE - Der Führer erzählt die dramatische Geschichte hinter dieser Höhle, dann wagen sich zwei Kajaks auf einmal hinein, um die verborgene Schönheit darin zu entdecken.
KROKODILHÖHLE - Der Guide hält die Gruppe vor der Höhle an und erwähnt, dass sich darin ein Tier befindet. "Kannst du es erkennen?".
ELEFANTENHÖHLE - Unter dem massiven Felsen, der von der Natur zu einer abstrakten Elefantenform geformt wurde, gibt es mehrere Tunnel, durch die wir gehen können, wenn das Meer es zulässt.
MARINHA BEACH – Der letzte Halt ist der atemberaubende Marinha Beach, einer der schönsten der Welt. Nach einer kurzen Pause zum Schwimmen oder Entspannen beginnen wir unsere Rückreise zum Benagil Beach, mit unvergesslichen Erinnerungen.

This was our favourite day in our two-week Portugal trip. Paddling through caves and seeing the beautiful landscape from the ocean was incredible. Alex was a knowledgeable and patient guide. I highly recommend doing the 8am time slot. We sat on the beach after returning around 10am and watched many many more boats and kayaks fill up the sea in the afternoon. In the early time slot, we had the Benagil cave entirely to our tour.
Had a great time kayaking the Benagil caves. Flora was a great guide and took some amazing picture of us with our camera. Highly recommend doing this early in the morning. As our trip was ending there were so many groups starting and also the boats were making a lot harder. Our time on the water was amazing though. Loved seeing and being able to go in the caves.
If I could give this 6 stars, I absolutely would! Our party was running late, and the team was incredibly understanding and did everything they could to accommodate us. The tour itself was absolutely breathtaking—an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Experience was amazing! Our guide, Flo, was terrific, fun and made everyone feel comfortable. We were guided in and out of some really cool caves. One tip: go for the earliest time. It’s really peaceful and tranquil. If you go later it will be a zoo and waves will be more powerful due to tour boats everywhere. That said: 10/10!

The meeting point was rather strange- you have to find an unmarked gray van by the side of this very steep and windy road. If they could get a "Salty Cliffs Benagil" sign to put on their van, that would be very helpful! Other than that, this was a great experience. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. The kayaks and safety equipment were in good shape and comfortable. They supply waterproof bags for your valuables and let you leave the rest of your stuff in their van. Our guide was Alex and he was the best! He told us the history and geology of the area and got out of his kayak to take family photos of each group in the amazing areas. We only had 4 double kayaks in our group so it was very easy to keep us together. Some of the other groups were very large. A small group is definitely the way to go. Alex took us to some really neat caves that bigger groups couldn't do. Try to go as early in the morning as possible. We went around 10 am and it was perfect. When we got back it was so much busier. There are bathrooms right by the launch point but no toilet paper in any stall so bring a little pack of kleenex. Of all the things we did on our vacation, this one really stands out. It's adventurous and memorable. A must do!
Yesterday we went on the kayaktour to the Benagil caves. It was very beautiful and we had a fantastic guide, Flor. She was kind, helpfull and had a great positive energy! To kayak inside the caves was very special. And the view of all the caves was amazing! Also a little swimtime at Marinha beach, was a nice pause. Had a great time. Thanks Flor!
We recommend going first thing in the morning. Going in a small group allows you to enter caves that would otherwise be unfeasible, ask the guide questions, and learn more about the area. It was a very beautiful experience, especially if you do it first thing in the morning. It's a shame that Marinha Beach is full of kayaks, but that's the price you have to pay. We want access to everything and for it to be exclusive, but we have to be aware that you can't have everything.
Fantastic experience even for those who have never been on a canoe! Sublime landscapes impossible to see from the mainland. Suitable for any age, calm and peaceful sea despite the presence of various boats. It is preferable to choose early in the morning or the last shift of the afternoon.
