Jeyani was an amazing ambassador! She prepared a tour based on my interests and background. I wanted to get a feel for the various neighborhoods, which Jeyani did an excellent job! Such diversity in the city. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone interested in a personalized tour of the city!
Nice walk of key attractions - well paced - good info - guide flexible with meeting point - adjusted well to weather
Our guide never showed up. She could not be reached by phone or email. Further, while it is described as a custom tour I was told repeatedly in emails that we should not expect the guide to be an expert on Basel’s history.

We booked this tour as 2 friends traveling with just a few hours in Basel. It was a private tour which is a nice change of pace. Walid was completely flexible with timing and allowed us a comprehensive view of the city, and even a field trip out to the tripoint as well. We entered a few beautiful buildings and were given options on which ones we wanted to climb. We were given lots of recommendations for other things to do after the tour, which we took him up on! We learned a little about architecture, history, the universities and museums. He took us through beautiful streets and we stopped several times for pictures. He was a jovial guide and was easy to work with in determining our goals for the tour. It was a relaxing and personal experience. He answered our many questions easily. Just what we needed!
Jeyani is a college student who was not prepared for the tour and could not clearly explain basic facts about the city. We were asked to buy tram tickets during the tour even though this was a walking tour and didn’t mention in advance.
Tour didn’t happen. Our tour guide was confirmed to be Alina, but she was a no show. We waited half an hour. We tried to contact her as did the support group, no answer from her. Our details had all been confirmed, so it was disappointing and our money is to be refunded
The guide was great. Did her homework before. Found Roger Federer childhood home she went above asking and did a great job. Very kind
Alina was perfection! She was knowledgeable, extremely pleasant and fun to be with! She made the day fun!
An absolute disaster. Our guide was not a Basel local, and spoke poor English. He arrived 10 minutes late. He was completely ill-equipped to be a guide: lacked the knowledge and empathy, and was unable to provide any meaningful background narrative. It is inconceivable that he was vetted by anyone in authority. After 15 minutes, we could see that this was a huge mistake and we ended the tour at this point. Worst $185 I have ever spent!
