Bekannt für seine wunderschöne Architektur, ist das Mehrangarh Fort eines der größten Forts in Indien. Es wurde um 1460 von Rao Jodha erbaut, ein Jahr nachdem ihm der Ursprung von Jodhpur zugeschrieben wurde. Erbaut im Jahr 1899 ist der königliche Kenotaph von Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. (33. Statthalter von Jodhpur). Es ist aus kunstvoll geschnitzten Marmorplatten gebaut und wird daher oft als "Das TajMahal von Marwar" bezeichnet. Der Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park wurde 2006 gegründet, um die natürliche Ökologie eines 70 Hektar großen felsigen Ödlands in der Nähe des Mehrangarh-Forts nach jahrelanger Vernachlässigung wiederherzustellen. Das Gebiet im und um den Park enthält markante vulkanische Gesteins- und Sandsteinformationen. Der Bau des auf dem Chittar-Hügel gelegenen Umaid-Bhawan-Palastes dauerte 14 Jahre und wurde von 2000 bis 3000 Personen ausgeführt. Dieser Palast wurde ursprünglich erbaut, um Bauern zu helfen, indem er sie in den 1920er Jahren während einer Dürre- und Hungersnot von drei aufeinander folgenden Jahren beschäftigte. König Umaid Singh beauftragte einen britischen Architekten, Henry V. Lanchester, mit der Gestaltung des goldgelben Sandsteinpalastes. Er verwendete eine außergewöhnliche Mischung aus westlicher Technologie und indischer Architektur. Vor den Toren der Altstadt von Jodhpur befindet sich der Kunsthandwerksmarkt, auf dem Sie auch einige Zeit in der Malschule verbringen können. The driver pickup from hotel with guided tour we enjoyed the visits of jodhpur local market and the Jaswant thada as wel Mehrangarh and the driver Nature is very good ,he also helped us to get the best Street food to , Highly recommended the cab service they provided is very excellent and as well very affordable
Blossoming Jodhpur Trip In the month January 2023, we had a unforgettable and enjoyable family trip to Jodhpur. We had visited Mehangar Fort, Jaswant Tada, Mandore garden, blue city, important temples, desert safari with grand gala dinner, zip line adventure, rajasthani food exploration and many more... Whole trip plan, site seeing in time with complete exploration of that place from day 1 to day 4 was planned, executed and supported by Mr. Pappu Singh. He is committed and care-taking tour and travel planner. I have waited to give this feedback since I want to test whether this experience is volatile or memorable for lifetime. First of all if you are coming to Jodhpur for a trip and sightseeing you must book them (Authentic Jodhpur Day Tour).They are true professional and also give a feel that you know them for a long time. We are lucky that we got the contact of Mr Pappu…he knows everything about jodhpur and also more importantly how to behave…we got Mr. Manish as our sarathi, he is fantastic guy, great temperament and always approach with a smile…he knows the history of the monuments, and also guide you to the right direction, whether to take a guide or not, where to lunch. They are the best in this business. So don’t think twice and contact them for a good tour as you can’t take the place with you but the memories. And we are taking a good one.
