If you're looking fo a cooking class here you get your hands dirty and create the dishes yourself, like we did, you will not be satisfied. If your simply looking for a advised guide without the hassle of cleaning and getting dirty, then it's the right thing for you. We booked the class after attending various cooking classes worldwide with the idea in mind that we would create dishes from scratch. In the class you get to simply stir, add pre weighted ingredients and pound a bit of Pap and earn a round of applause for simply doing just that. No cutting, washing, seasoning or measuring involved. The dishes were already half cooked when we arrived. Concerning the information on Cap Malay Food in general and the origin, the owner is well prepared and starts your visit with a thorough explanation and taste of some traditional nibbles and beverages - this part we genuinely enjoyed. Everyone was nice and everything was clean and I had no concern regarding hygiene - this is simply our personal opinion in terms of what we expected.

This was a one of a kind experience! Authentic food , authentic people! Overall a wonderful dive into African food and culture! My daughter and I felt blessed to spend time with such a lovely, friendly, happy couple! And the food was delicious and it was so fun to help make! Would highly recommend!

We went with our children. It was very interesting. Florence and her husband explain African cuisine with great attention and detail. We tried everything and it was delicious. 100% recommended. Thank you very much!

We went there in the Uber and really thought “where are we going?” It didn't seem like a very good neighborhood, but that was the look. Once inside, that feeling quickly disappeared. Florence and Caleb with their 2 staff were great. A lot has been told and we finished the dishes. We really enjoyed our South African food. What we won’t give away 😀

The is was a wonderful experience with Caleb and Florence. They were very welcoming and explained everything along the way. We tried some unusual things as well as very tasty common African dishes found in restaurants. It was fun, educational and delicious. We highly recommend this experience.

The food was delicious. The hosts were gracious. The staff was friendly, and I was well informed about the process, the history and the flavors. I would recommend this tour to anyone. I had a great time. Everything was super clean also.
