We took the tour on September 21, 2026 with Roshana. She we so knowledgeable and friendly, and answered all of our questions. The one thing I will say is that when they say it’s a walking tour, they mean it! It was about 15,000 steps! I love walking so I loved it, taking in the beautiful sights as we walked. But just be aware when you’re booking that you will be walking a lot!

Loved the tour...awesome! Aside from the inclement weather at beginning of the tour, it was very enjoyable. Our guide Roshana was great! She gave each tour participant special attention, but highlighted in depth historical information in a very easily understood delivery. Our guide Roshana was very insightful and interesting. Did the tour today (9/21/2026) with Roshana and it was fabulous! It was great to have someone take us there and back via the train and bus and show us the main sights. It was a great way to spend the day and see beautiful architecture, the Dutch quarter and Bridge if Spies. And the option to stay and see more if you wanted. Would recommend as a nice day trip out of Berlin

I'm being honest here rather than leaving five stars because everyone else does. The route could be a lot better. Meeting in Berlin means you spend an hour of the tour just getting to Potsdam, and the walk through the park is far longer than it needs to be. We covered four or five miles to see four things, and only one of them was really worth the trip. Meeting at Potsdam and walking the direct line from the Marble Palace to Sanssouci would cut hours off this. The bigger problem is the commentary. It never came together. Facts got thrown out and then dropped, and she jumped around so much I couldn't follow any of it. At the Russian colony we were told "the Russians live here" and that was it. Not that the houses were built in the 1820s by the Prussian king for Russian singers who'd been taken prisoner in the Napoleonic Wars, or that their descendants still live there. At Frederick the Great's grave we got a passing remark about potatoes, without the story of him forcing potato cultivation on a reluctant Prussia, or that he'd asked to be buried there and it took until 1991 for his body to get there. She mentioned he'd been moved a few times but never explained why it mattered. At one church we were told it was a World Heritage site because the tower is tall. I still have no idea what that church was, what denomination, or why we went there. Basic questions didn't get answered either. I asked which empire ruled the area when these palaces were built. No real answer. Someone asked whether Frederick the Great was a Holy Roman Emperor. She didn't know. He's the central figure of the whole tour. What I want from a tour is a few dates, some names, the places, and why any of it mattered. I've done other tours that were genuinely excellent because the guide told a story. This one walked past real history and said almost nothing about it. If you want to see Potsdam, go on your own. See the old town and Sanssouci and skip the rest.

I did the tour with Roshana on September 20th. She was very nice and very knowledgeable, and the tour was very intefesting.

Miguel is passionate about the history of Berlin! He has plenty of historical anecdotes to tell! A very comprehensive tour of Potsdam!

Booked the tour through Viator. KATIA did a very good job in leading the tour. She is very knowledgeable about the history of Potsdam. She explained clearly what happened, when, why, and who were involved and what were the outcomes or consequences. She is nice and pleasant, taking good care of us. However, there are certainly rooms for improvements: the descriptions about the ticket redemption and meeting is confusing and causing unnecessary anxiety for the tourists: why do you need to specify two locations (meeting points and ticket redemption point) while in fact they are the same? Why do you need to request two steps (tickets redemption and meeting). I assume this is not KATIA’s responsibility. You want to serve tourists well, you should know most of them are from other countries, they don’t know the places, the processes. You should try everything you can to make it straightforward, simple and easy. Overall, I praise KATIA’s expertise and services. But the instruction needs to be polished.
