Entdecken Sie Islands atemberaubende Natur auf einer Golden Circle Tour mit Abfahrt vom Hafen Skarfabakki. Im Gegensatz zu herkömmlichen Touren haben wir keine feste Abfahrtszeit. Wir warten, bis Ihre Kreuzfahrt anlegt, bevor Sie beginnen, und erlauben Ihnen bis zu 2 Stunden nach Ankunft. Unser Ansatz in kleinen Gruppen sorgt für ein persönlicheres Erlebnis und ermöglicht es unseren sachkundigen Guides, außergewöhnlichen Service zu bieten und Islands faszinierende Geschichte, Kultur und Geologie zu teilen. Der Golden Circle ist Islands berühmteste Sightseeing-Route, die atemberaubende Landschaften mit Geschichten verbindet, die von der Siedlungsära bis heute reichen. Highlights sind der mächtige Gullfoss Wasserfall, die ausbrechenden heißen Quellen von Geysir, der Thingvellir Nationalpark und der wunderschöne Öxarárfoss Wasserfall. Wir besuchen auch den markanten Vulkankrater Kerið, wo farbenfrohe rote Hänge einen ruhigen blauen See umgeben, der eines der malerischsten natürlichen Wahrzeichen Islands bildet.

Wir machen uns auf den Weg zum tosenden Gullfoss-Wasserfall, der als mächtiges und hypnotisierendes Naturphänomen auf vielen Listen ganz oben steht. Am Gullfoss gibt es einen Ort, an dem Sie sich ein Mittagessen kaufen können.
Das geothermische Geysir-Gebiet ist ziemlich beeindruckend, wo wir alle fünf Minuten den Ausbruch des Geysirs Strokkur beobachten können. Es gibt einen Ort in Geysir, an dem Sie sich ein Mittagessen kaufen können.
Thingvellir-Nationalpark, ein Juwel mit sowohl historischem als auch geologischem Wert. Dies ist der Ort, an dem im Jahr 930 n. Chr. das isländische Parlament gegründet wurde. Bis zum dänischen Kolonialismus trafen sich jedes Jahr etwa 30 herrschende Häuptlinge, um das Gesetz auf der Insel zu besprechen. Hier treffen auch die nordamerikanische und die eurasische tektonische Platte aufeinander, und das ist der Grund, warum wir sagen, dass wir an diesem bestimmten Ort zwischen den Kontinenten wandern können. Um das Ganze abzurunden, unternehmen wir eine leichte Wanderung zum wunderschönen Öxararfoss-Wasserfall, einem der wenigen von Menschenhand geschaffenen Wasserfälle in Island. Der Kanal des Flusses Öxará wurde im 10. Jahrhundert verlegt, um alle Parlamentsmitarbeiter mit Wasser zu versorgen.
Weiter geht es zum markanten Vulkankrater Kerið, wo lebhafte rote Vulkanhänge einen ruhigen türkisfarbenen See umgeben, der eines der farbenfrohsten und faszinierendsten natürlichen Wahrzeichen Islands schafft.

- Die Tour dauert insgesamt etwa 6 bis 7 Stunden. Von Reykjavik aus, wo wir starten, dauert es etwa 1 Stunde und 47 Minuten, bis wir unseren ersten Stopp, „Gullfoss“, erreichen. Die Gesamtreisezeit sollte ca. 3 Stunden und 30 Minuten betragen, wobei wir an jedem Standort auch zusätzliche Zeit verbringen werden, was insgesamt ca. 6 bis 7 Stunden ergibt.

We was met by Goncalo a Portuguese guide who from the start was friendly and made you welcome. He explained the agenda and also said we might be able to fit in a couple of extra stops if time permitted. Very clear about toilet stops eye which at my age is important and at each stop attempted to get the most convenient drop point. Very good explaining about aspects of Iceland including plant life and the animals and also the weather which in our case was perfect. At the end of the day he dropped us off in various locations so that we could look around Reykjavik. Great day, great service and half the price of the cruise line package the the same excursion.

We arrived on a cruise ship and wanted to see the Golden Circle without paying cruise excursion prices. The smaller van tour is nice and we would give David six stars if we could. Plenty of time at each stop made it fun.

Wow! From the moment Simon ( aka Spicy Viking) opened the tour bus doors we knew an adventure was in store. Informative, witty and full of fun facts it was a great balance. First stop was Thingvellir National Park A UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian plates pull apart, creating cliffs, fissures, and a landscape that looks like the earth is splitting open. It’s also the site of Iceland’s first parliament. We got to see Geysir Geothermal Area Home to Strokkur, the geyser that erupts every few minutes — a reliable, dramatic burst of steam and boiling water. The area is full of bubbling mud pots and mineral‑rich pools. Gullfoss Waterfall was breathtaking The “Golden Falls” that give the route its name — a two‑tiered, roaring canyon waterfall that feels mythic in any weather.

All good on this small group tour , enjoyed the sights and the fact that everything was covered in snow was the real bonus. Our guide Martin was very interesting and had a great way about him. Driving conditions looked looked tricky , this is where an experienced guide is essential.
