Guide was very nice. However, the tour was in English and the guides command of the language was limited making some of the humor awkward. I did find the history of punishment interesting which seemed more of the focus than true crime.
This evening walking tour was a combination of history, fun and drama. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide Lau also brought members of our group into the stories that she told and everybody had a lot of good laughs. I highly recommend this tour and Lau. There is a lot of walking down into the city near the waterfront so wear comfortable shoes.
What a wonderful tour. The women that did the English tour was amazing. She was funny and engaging and made it wonderful time.
We did the 90 minute walking tour with Valerie and what an amazing night it was! This walking tour was the absolute highlight of our trip. Valerie was incredibly energetic, passionate, and animated from start to finish she brought history to life with theatrical storytelling and amazing humor. The time flew by, and we were hooked the entire way. Book this right now, you wint regret it!
The guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic so it was interesting. I would have preferred less walking and more specific stories about local crime.
It was fun, a different way to walk around the Old Town of Québec, we were laughing, sometimes a little grossed out, looking around at everything imagining it back in the day, and we learned a lot about it all without noticing ourselves getting educated, our teen also loved it, definitely recommend this activity
It entails a lot of walking down hill and then a lot of steps getting back. There should have been a warning. The tour did not really talk about the locations you went to except the first and 2nd to the last.
No need to make customers walk from Upper town and then strand them in Lower town AFTER the funicular closed. So the only option was to take Breakneck stairs (200 foot climb) or Uber back. Also guide would suddenly stop story unexpectedly. Would not recommend.
This is our second time on this tour. We attended last year. The experience was just as entertaining.
