Samuel was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. His take on the history of the foods, plus info on the sites we passed was lots of fun. He is an A+ tour guide. The tour had very interesting foods that were all so delicious, and the restaurants were accommodating and pleasant. Great tour.
Claude was very informative and friendly In comparison to our other food tours the food offerings were skimpy (for $100 per person). No wine or beer ( that was another $37 per person). Very small portions but all were tasty. Just not a great value.

We loved the Tour! Good food and some good history.
Worth it! Wide variety of foods, sensible portions, lots of history, not too much walking (but hilly). 10 bites, 3 hours, 4 restaurants. Good group of 14 others (all Americans). Local guide. Good conversation over each dish. We were able to sit down at each restaurant, something we have not found on previous food tours.

What a fun and delicious walking tour! (Even if we got caught in the rain!) Sam, our guide, was easy to understand and very well versed in the history of Quebec City. I was told this tour had plenty of food and they were right. (It starts at 11AM so skip eating an early lunch before going.) It is a 3 hour tour and well worth the time. We had Quebec style pea soup- delicious. A duck breast carpaccio- good! Maple taffy- yummy. Quebec style maple fudge- to die for. At another stop a house-made croissant that is the best I've had anywhere- including Paris! Some other items were included and, of course, poutine (an eastern Canada staple) which seems to be soggy french fries with canned gravy and cheese curds. Yuk. (I went on two food tours in eastern Canada this trip and had poutine both times. Yuk again.) At one stop we were served an "oat risotto crowned with a small rock shrimp salad"- it wasn't just me- three other people on the tour said it was terrible, sorry. I eat like a horse and was full after this tour. All in all, it was both a fun and delicious way to spend 3 hours in Quebec City. Would I do it again? Yes!
