Besuchen Sie den Sonnenaufgang außerhalb von Angkor Wat. Wir beginnen mit einer Abfahrt vor Sonnenaufgang (4.30 bis 4.45 Uhr, je nach Jahreszeit) von Ihrem Hotel aus bei Sonnenaufgang außerhalb von Angkor Wat. Betreten Sie den großen Tempel in der Dunkelheit von der wenig besuchten Ostseite und kriechen Sie entlang der längsten Korridore, die am längsten entlang der Relief-Schnitzereien der Welt liegen.
Das Südtor von Angkor Thom ist das am besten erhaltene. Sie wird von außen über einen Damm erreicht, der sich etwa fünfzig Meter über einen Wassergraben erstreckt. Auf jeder Seite des Damms befinden sich Geländer, die aus 54 Steinfiguren bestehen, die sich mit der Aufführung einer berühmten Hindu-Geschichte beschäftigen: dem Mythos des aufgewühlten Ozeans. Auf der linken Seite des Wassergrabens ziehen 54 Devas (Schutzgottheiten) den Kopf der Schlange 'Shesha', während auf der rechten Seite 'Asuras' (Dämonengötter) den Schlangenschwanz in die entgegengesetzte Richtung ziehen. In diesem Mythos wird der Körper der Schlange um den zentralen Berg gewickelt - Mt. Meru - entspricht hier vielleicht dem Bayon-Tempel in der Mitte des Ortes. In jedem Fall bezieht sich der Mythos darauf, dass, als die Devas die Schlange in eine Richtung zogen und die Götter in die andere stießen, der Ozean anfing zu wühlen und die Elemente auszulösen. Durch Hin- und Herwechseln wurde der Ozean "gemolken" und die Erde und der Kosmos neu gebildet.
Angkor Thom ist der majestätische Ort, der einst als glänzende Hauptstadt des Khmer-Reiches diente. Nehmen Sie sich einen Moment Zeit, um über seine Großartigkeit nachzudenken, bevor Sie sich in die Stadt begeben. Wenn Sie den Tempel in Bayon erreichen, können Sie die wunderschön gearbeiteten zentralen Türme in mehr als 200 riesigen Gesichtern schätzen.
Die 350 m lange Terrasse der Elefanten wurde als riesiger Revierstand für öffentliche Zeremonien genutzt und diente als Basis für die große Audienzhalle des Königs. Es hat fünf Vorarbeiten, die sich zum zentralen Platz erstrecken - drei in der Mitte und eine an jedem Ende. Der mittlere Teil der Stützmauer ist mit lebensgroßen Garuda und Löwen geschmückt; An beiden Enden befinden sich die beiden Teile der berühmten Elefantenparade mit ihren Khmer-Mahouts.
Einer der atmosphärischsten Tempel in Angkor. Ta Prohm war einst die Heimat von 2.740 Mönchen und sieht heute genauso aus wie in den frühen 1850er Jahren, als der französische Forscher Henri Mouhot diese bröckelnde Stätte "wiederentdeckte". Nachdem Sie das labyrinthartige Innere von Ta Prohm erkundet haben, kehren Sie nach einem langen aber erfüllenden Tag zu Ihrem Hotel zurück, an dem Sie unvergessliche Erinnerungen an eines der Wunder der Welt haben werden.

We had a guided tour by Sam and his driver Da! It was just amazing, he showed us the best spots instead of all the tourist spots! It was impressive how much knowlegde Sam had on both the temples as well as the Khmer history. I would recommend him for sure! A 10/10 experience. And he was a great cameraman as well!!

This tour was awwsome! Watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat was absolutely breathtaking, but what really made the day unforgettable was our amazing guide, Sam, and our driver, Mr. Ha. Sam was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. As we walked through the temples, he shared fascinating stories and historical details that brought each place to life. He also planned the route perfectly, making sure we avoided unnecessary walking in the heat while still seeing all the highlights. We learned so much and enjoyed every moment. Mr. Ha was equally fantastic. He was always there waiting for us at each temple exit with cold water and refreshing towels, which made such a difference during the day. It is a must do experience!

Sam was a great tour guide who took us to a great spot to watch the sunset overlooking Angkor Wat. Seeing the different temples of Angkor Wat, Bayon Temple, and Ta Prohm was amazing. Sam had a lot of details to share and made it interesting with his story telling. He even added some details about the culture of Cambodia which was nice to learn. He's also great taking photos and knows all the good spots. I highlight recommend this tour! To top it off, our driver Ha was amazing and so attentive. Every time we got on the bus he had a cold towel and water ready for us.
