Das Ethnographische Museum der Addis Abeba Universität befindet sich im ehemaligen Palast von Kaiser Haile Selassie.
Hier besuchen wir das Skelett einer unserer ältesten hominiden Vorfahren, Lucy, die vor 3,2 Millionen Jahren lebte!
Am Morgen steigen wir durch die Eukalyptusbäume auf den Berg Entoto und sehen von oben einen spektakulären Blick auf Addis Abeba.Während wir auf dem Berg Entoto sind, besuchen wir auch die Entoto Maryam Kirche, den ursprünglichen Palast von Kaiser Menelik II.
Auf dem Weg nach Merkato halten wir kurz an der St. George Kirche!
Nach der Heiligen Dreifaltigkeit besuchen wir dann die Krypta von Kaiser Menelik, der mit seiner Frau und seiner Tochter bei der beschaulichen Bata Miriam Kirche begraben ist.
Wir beenden den Tag auf dem geschäftigen Merkato, dem größten Open-Air-Markt Afrikas!

Daniel was an incredibly good tour guide. He tailored the tour to what I was interested in exploring. He is very knowledgeable on the historical facts, plus he gave me a little parting gift. I really appreciate his dedication.
Daniel and his driver friend Ahati did a wonderful job of guiding me through the city, slowing down to allow me to get pictures of monuments and adding in a museum (the Red Terror Museum) at my request. Daniel had good knowledge of the content without being too overwhelming. Communication was good and they even arrived at my hotel early. I totally recommend this tour as a time efficient way to visit the most important sites of Addis Ababa as navigating the traffic on your own would be difficult as a visitor.
Had an amazing day tour of Addis Ababa with Daniel. He was very flexible and customized the itinerary to my interests and availability. He knows the city very well and patiently explained everything about the sites we visited in detail. He was also open to making stops along the way as per my wish, such as restaurants and coffee shops. If you are looking for a knowledgeable guide who can navigate and show you around the city in leisure, I highly recommend him. I will certainly book again with him on my next visit to Ethiopia!

Daniel is an excellent tour guide. We went to the national museum of Ethiopia, the Ethnological museum and also to Beta Maryam Church where we were able to see the tomb of Menelik II Daniel was a great companion for the tour, with his perfect English and knowledge of Ethiopian history. What an amazing day in Addis Abbaba. Daniel was able to arrange for me to visit the cellar in the Mariam Church were I could view some amazing artifacts. His knowledge of the area is first class, he speaks excellent English and I highly recommend his services!
