Das Dorf Abhaneri soll vom König Raja Chand gegründet worden sein. Ursprünglich wurde Abhaneri als Abha Nagri bezeichnet, was die Stadt der Helligkeit bedeutet, aber aufgrund der falschen Aussprache des Begriffes wird er in den heutigen Namen geändert. Stufenbrunnen sind das einzigartige Konzept von Indien. Diese großen Tanks wurden in den ausgedörrten Tagen als kühle Orte des Resorts und Wasserreservoirs genutzt. Es war ein Ritual, Hände und Füße vor dem Besuch des Tempels zu waschen. Neben dem Chand Baori, ist Chand Baori eines der ältesten und attraktivsten Wahrzeichen in Rajasthan. Es wurde von König Chanda der Chauhan-Dynastie zwischen 800 und 900 n. Chr. Erbaut und war Hashat Mata gewidmet, Göttin der Freude und Glückseligkeit nach der Fertigstellung. This guide did relatively little to show us things, and was the only guide we have ever had who asked for a fee or tip.
World's Largest stepwell that too just 3.5 hrs drive away from Delhi/NCR. Constructed during 8th-9th century, this place is a hidden gem.
It’s very nice and comfortable trip due to all smooth and kind driving by Mr. Malik Nick. It took less than 2 hours from the pink city area to the place and there was no trouble on the way.
I just returned from my trip and had the best of times! Samir is a really nice guy, punctual and confident & excellent driver. He shared a lot of his local knowledge during the trip in excellent English. Samir was very helpful and I can recommend him if you have the choice to ask for him as guide and driver. The Stepwell and temple next door are amazing and the monkey temple was fantastic. The monkeys are adorable and it’s good to see that both the sites (Stepwell and monkey temple) are actively being restored.
We had a great driver who got us to and from the step well safely and quickly. He was very friendly. The step well itself is really cool. It’s a long way to go to see it but I found it worthwhile.
Stepwell is overrated and it’s not worth the 2 hours drive each direction. Driver drove us to a place for lunch which overcharging at least double comparing to other eating places, chicken tasted old and the curry has no flavor, naan is half the size comparing to a normal order in a normal restaurant. tour operator should check the quality of the restaurant that the driver recommends to their client.

I have always wanted to visit Chand Baori after seeing numerous photos in travel magazines. If ever in Jaipur, this is a place I would highly recommend one visits. It’s only a 2 hour drive out of Jaipur. The Baori, is one of the best in India due to its history, its architecture (symmetrical steps), its photogenic beauty. It really is a wonderful piece of art and the most fascinating thing is that there is very little literature on how it was constructed. Definitely worth visiting.
We were on a tour of the golden triangle and this was not on the itinerary but our guide offered it as an extra. Having been to the Taj Mahal earlier in the day, this was almost as remarkable, given it was built in the 8th century, the scale of it was a huge surprise and I think it should be added to the itinerary of any tour as I think most people would be amazed. The Indian Government are planning restoration, which when complete will make things even better, although it may then be more commercialised, which at the moment it isn't. We'll worth a visit.
Made a last minute booking the night before and received confirmation straight away. Our driver arrived on time and provided a seamless and enjoyable day. Made a stop on the way home to another attraction close to the city which was a nice touch. Highly recommended using for your tour needs… will definitely be using again during our trip!
