I had a fantastic trip and would definitely recommend it! Geoff was an amazing guide, and full of great stories. I also appreciated the option to upgrade your room if you wanted a single or double room for certain nights. I did not do the whale shark tour but went to a beaufitul beach instead and was given free time, which I appreciated very much. I travelled solo but came back with a friend for life. The group atmosphere in general was nice, we were a very mixed group! I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I think the trip would benefit from an extra day. Monkey Mia is mainly a sunset stop, sleep and a short dolphin experience in the morning, but the area has so much more to offer.

The trip was amazing packed with days of fun and adventure. Our tour director Geoff Homma was filled with enthusiasm and life every moment. It's amazing that he sustains such a passion for his job inspite of the long hours of driving. And he remains pleasant all the time. I am enrolling into swimming lessons because I want to go back and do the whale shark and manta ray experience. Thank you . Anita

Amazing experience, 100% would recommend for anyone! I started as a solo traveler, but at the end of the trip gained lots of friends and fellow travellers!! Our tour guide Geoff made the experience extra special every day, thank you so much!

A fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations. Geoff made it very easy for us all, and as an older solo traveller I felt supported. The group was great and I survived the ‘bunk-room’ experience. I did the Manta-ray and whale shark experiences, and even abseiled - surprised myself!

I am sure that Geoffrey is a nice a person, but as a guide his organizational skills and decision making leave a lot to be desired. Also unless you are willing to pay an extra $1000 to go snorkeling and swimming with whale sharks this tour is not worth the money. He will still make you wake up unnecessarily early to have breakfast, only to drop you off at a beach for only 2 hours. I had asked to stay at the beach longer and be picked up later, and was told this was not possible only to be brought back into town with nothing to do (Geoffrey called this “free time”) for another 4 hours. This is despite the fact that the drive to the beach is only 20 minutes. Geoffrey nearly left me stranded because I took little bit longer to go pee (he was in the van and driving but luckily I caught up to him). I took maybe an extra 2 minutes and when I get back on the bus he gave me an unnecessary dirty look, but then after 10 minutes of driving he stops at some random canola field not once but twice. Also be prepared to do cooking and cleaning on this “vacation”. Yes you’re paying for the privilege of helping to prepare your own meals and washing your dishes. Also if you can try to fly back from Exmouth the evening of Day 5 because nearly all of Day 6 and 7 will be spent driving back to Perth with not much to see. Tickets are notoriously expensive so book in advance. On our last day, we visited 3 different beaches for about 45 min each…too short to actually go in the water or enjoy, but long enough to cause us delays. On our a way back we were supposed to go sand boarding, but Geoffrey planned to get us there for 15:00 but forgot that they stop renting the sand boards by then. The only reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is because Geoffrey was willing to take pictures when asked and made up a quiz on the bus ride back to keep us entertained so he technically did more than the bare minimum.

This is my first bus road trip tour, and it was absolutely amazing and fun! Our driver guide Geoffrey was professional, amazing, helpful and give good advice, he knows where are all the good things, he knows what he’s doing! We were lucky to have him. And everyone else in the group is so nice and kind, the whale shark swimming tour is absolutely fantastic and worth every cent, highly recommend!

The Perth to Exmouth return tour was fantastic! Our 7-day trip from June 1st was amazing, thanks to the many memorable highlights and the outstanding leadership of our tour guide, Doug. We also had the best group of warm, friendly people, which made the whole experience even more special. Doug is a real asset to Autopia. His personality, positive attitude and caring nature showed in everything he did, especially when making sure everyone on the tour was comfortable and well looked after. He kept things organised, drove safely, did a great job with the meals, and stayed professional the whole time. His constant smile and friendly approach really made us feel like we were part of a big family, and I can safely say our whole group was very happy to have him as our guide. Every stop and activity offered something unique and memorable. I really enjoyed the walk at Kalbarri National Park, and the 25m abseiling with Kalbarri Abseiling was such a thrill. The instructor, Cole, was great, so I would highly recommend it to anyone - no need to be nervous like I was! I’d also highly recommend the optional swim with manta rays and the whale shark tour - they were both fantastic, and I’m so glad I did them. The Autopia booking team was also great to communicate with. Their prompt and helpful replies made the booking process easy and stress-free, which was very much appreciated. If I had to change anything it would be to do the one-way trip option and stay longer at Exmouth, then fly back to Perth from there. There is so much more I would have loved to do there.

Very good stays, with a fairly fast pace but magnificent landscapes and wild animals throughout the journey! (I have a slight preference for Monkey Mia with the dolphins by the beach at sunset, but Shell Beach is also beautiful!), I recommend the excursions to Coral Bay with the manta rays and/or Exmouth with the whale sharks; it is definitely something you will not regret! The interventions by the guide Jeff are also very relevant and add a little extra to the trip.

What a truly transformative experience! I am so delighted that I selected Autopia Tours for my journey from Perth to Exmouth and back to Perth. This marked my inaugural tour and my first time traveling within Western Australia. I embarked on this adventure independently, and I must admit, I had some initial concerns about solo travel. However, by the second day of the tour, our wonderful tour guide Geoff and the delightful individuals in the group had completely put my mind at ease, affirming that I had made an excellent choice for myself. I had an amazing experience on the 7-day tour from Perth to Exmouth. The entire itinerary was extremely well organised, and everything ran smoothly throughout the trip. I especially loved how the meals were prepared with participation from the guests — it created such a warm and friendly atmosphere and helped everyone in the group bond really well. A huge highlight of the tour was our guide, Geoffrey. He was incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, energetic, and always genuinely cared about the comfort and experience of every guest. His leadership and problem-solving skills were outstanding, which helped keep the group organised and ensured we stayed on track with the itinerary. I was truly impressed by his ability to drive long distances, provide informative commentary through the microphone, cook meals, and still constantly offer help and support to everyone in the group. Geoff’s dedication and positive energy made the whole experience even more memorable. The food was also delicious, and I really appreciated that my dietary requirements were fully accommodated throughout the tour. That level of care made me feel very valued as a guest. Overall, this tour exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable Western Australia adventure.
