Absolutely wonderful! We hired YOLO for a 5 night tour around Taiwan. Steven was our driver and he was outstanding. He took us everywhere we wanted to go, and explained a lot along the way. Thanks YOLO and Steven!

Super trip from Taipei down West coast to southernmost tip and then back up the East coast. Hicks was a great guide, spoke good English and didn't rush us about. All very calm and relaxed. Took us to lots of local spots and sampled local cuisine. The drive through Taroko gorge was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Steven is my private tour guide. He is really helpful and flexible. We changed our plan for the second day to hike Mount Alishan. He introduced me Custard Apple and Water Chestnut. He also took me to different markets to buy subtropical fruits. I enjoyed the tour.

We had an amazing tour with our guide, Steven, who was experienced and professional and a great traveling companion. He took great care of us, always thinking about our comfort, safety, and enjoyment. He recommended wonderful restaurants serving local specialties, provided umbrellas for us when it was raining, and gave informative explanations of the tourist spots we visited. We had scheduled a 5-day Round Island Tour, but it was interrupted by a typhoon and we were not able to complete the circuit as originally planned. Steven helped us scramble to make new plans on the fly, canceling hotels and suggesting a new itinerary so that we were able to have a great trip anyway. During the planning and re-planning stages, the YOLO office was prompt, friendly, and helpful, and we would be very happy to tour with them again.

A good chance to see the topography of Taiwan. Our guide jackson was knowledgeable, experienced and a good communicator. I was impressed with his sustained effort to ensure our satisfaction. Adaptive to our wishes, changing weather and road conditions. Not to mention an array of eating establishment. With our conversations I believe I have a better insight into modern Taiwan. I have no problem in recommending this tour.

We are just back from an action packed five day coastal tour of Taiwan with Steven Huang of YOLO (You Only Live Once) Tours. We loved the simplicity of booking and the concept of YOLO providing a car, English speaking driver and suggested itinerary and letting us choose and book the hotels in each city ourselves. We could then decide on the hotels based on their ratings and our budget. We also liked that we covered our meal costs as all inclusive packages mean we often can’t eat the food we like, particularly as we are vegetarians. YOLO also has a super flexible cancellation policy—you just need your provide them 24 hours notice. Communication was excellent throughout. A few days before our departure, YOLO and Steven were in touch to create a group WhatsApp. Steven was always on time to pick us up. He is a charming, kind and helpful man from whom we learned a lot about Taiwan. He speaks excellent English and we really enjoyed his company. He has a great sense of humour and his laugh is infectious: we sometimes laughed so hard it was hard to breathe! Steven was very flexible. We couldn’t visit Taroko Gorge due to the recent earthquake, and he suggested several options around Yilin, but agreed to take us to The Green Light Tea Farm for a tea picking and tasting experience on our way back to Taipei instead which we loved. Steven was also incredibly prepared: he brought along good umbrellas; full length good quality rain coats (we ended up going to 7-11 to buy the same as gifts); and he even. Provided high quality plastic shoe covers so our shoes would stay dry when it rained. Other guides at Sun Moon Lake looked at us in admiration and praised our guide for being so prepared. We wanted to buy some for our families but you need to bulk order and Steven was so kind as to gift us his personal stash. We loved our time in Taiwan with Steven and YOLO. They are great ambassadors for their country.

I just wanted to mention that our tour guide, Jackson, was very knowledgeable, experienced, and very friendly and easy going. He was quick to accomodate our needs and was quick to figure out what our interests were so he can take us to the best spots. We were a very difficult bunch as some of us do not like hiking, water sports, or even walking too much so we made it difficult for him to come up with an itinerary. We did a alot of sight seeing, shopping, and eating which fit our group the best. He even arranged a ATV experience, traditional tea experience, animal farm experience, and took us to claw machine games. It was mostly easy to change the itinerary if it wasn't out of the way of our planned route. Unfortunately we had to miss hualien since the earthquake hit but we were able to change our location to Jiufen which was beautiful. The best part was that Jackson took all of our pictures for us and he is a great photographer. He also took us to the best local restaurants and cafes (our favorites were the hidden beef noodle and dumpling restaurants he took us to and also desolate cafe in sun Moon lake). He also helped us carry our heavy baggage which we were very thankful for especially with having bnb's that have no elevator We did have a minor medical accident during our ATV adventure but that was due to my friends inexperience with driving. But we were lucky to have Jackson with us as he quickly took us to the pharmacy and purchased medicine and other treatment supplies and actually helped tend to my friends' wounds. The medicine supplies was thoughtfully covered by the company. I would highly recommend this tour and if you can I would ask for Jackson. Also please tip generously as he deserves it :)
