2 - Tag Private Wahiba Sands Desert Escape

We had a great 2 day tour with our guide Yousef. We were traveling as two women, and traveling with Yousef made us feel very comfortable and safe. His presence was very calm and he made us experience the Omani hospitality first hand. We were picked up at the airport way before the time of tour (7am) because Yousef came when our flight landed (4am). One of us was not a good swimmer and he even helped her through wadi pools & water corridors between them. Because we came to Oman in low season, most places were quite empty. It was hot during the day but most of both days were spent in pools of wadis. It's also worth stargazing at night. This is a great tour if you want to visit these desert, enjoy nature, swim, and relax.

Really wonderful trip. Beautiful, calm, comfortable and worth every penny. Our guide, Khalid AlRaqadi, was exceptionally good - knowledgable, friendly and professional. He made the trip easy and fun. Wadi Shab is exceptionally beautiful. A tip - wear water shoes no matter what, and a life vest if you’re not a strong swimmer. (You can rent both at the Wadi for cheap). With that, you can go all the way to the tip, which is worth it. You may want to walk in hiking shoes and change to the water ones later - ask your guide. The desert camp is luxurious and hotel-like, with private bathrooms and electricity - you won’t go wrong. Do bring your passport (or a photo of it) for check- in, and yes, it’s worth it to get up early and see sunrise over the sands. This is a must-do in Oman.

We had two wonderful days with Khalid AlRaqadi exploring several wadis and the desert. Khalid was a wonderful guide and we particularly enjoyed our time in Wadi Shab. We are grateful that Khalid advised us to rent swim vests (made the swim much more relaxing although for a decent swimmer it shouldn’t be a problem) and also water shoes (1OR to rent, 3OR to buy - without them it is really dangerously slippy). We would definitely have missed the swim through the tunnel without Khalid. He also brought lovely fruit for us to enjoy in the Wadi. Another nice touch was him cooking tea for us in the desert while we enjoyed the sunset.

I am so thankful to our guide Joseph for leading us with his kindness and expertise. His calm vibe and relentless energy 💪 made our two-days trip a great experience. The Sinkhole and Wadi Shab was just amazing and I totally recommend to buy the phone case for exotic pictures in the water. 💦 🤳 Also, the sunrise at the Wahiba Sands was impressive. All the foods and snacks (including the camel meat) were delicious. Oman is now a special in my heart! ❤️ 🇴🇲

We had an amazing time with Amer, he is a great tour guide. Was so helpful throughout Wadi Shab, as well as taking us to Wahiba Sands for sunset. Highly recommend!

Amazing camp - feels like from 1000+1 night tale. Super friendly hosts, great welcome, night Bedouine story telling, gorgeous desert experience (25 km offroad trail - no problem for 4x4) and fantastic sunset + sunrise. Brand new setup, camel riding, quad tour, all that is possible. Suggest to stay 2 nights.

We had an excellent experience on this tour. Our guide, Saif, looked after us very well and taught us about many aspects of Omani culture. The locations on the tour are stunning.
