The only problem is that I would've liked the flight to be longer. My flight time was rescheduled but after I informed the tour operator that I might not be able to make it to check in time, they were flexible and did a quick check in after I arrived. The plane is amazing, the views, too.

Loved this excursion around the volcanic crater and lakes. We had a super pilot who was relaxed and informative. We had plenty of time to enjoy the views and our take off and landing was super smooth.

This was our first float plane and we also did it with an infant. Volcanic Air was great on all fronts and entirely accommodating to an infant. Only drawback was that the ear coverings they have for an infant were not usable, partly due to a feisty child. The float plane won't damage your hearing as it's not nearly as loud as a helicopter but, nonetheless, wearing ear coverings is best. So when they read this, look into getting the same style ear covering setup as what an adult wears but in a child's size (as it'll also be adjustable).

We had an unforgettable experience in the floatplane and flying over the Rotorua lakes. The staff are friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area. So glad we did this.

I do not want to rate the flight, as it did not take place due to bad weather. So this is nobody's fault. I just want to rate the behaviour of the backoffice. I had reconfimed our flight the day before and got an answer from a lady that everything is ok and the flight is confirmed (by email). Next day when we arrived at the office of Volcanic air another lady told us that the flight is cancelled. I wanted to know whether I was not informed by mail (we could have saved our time by driving from our B&B to the Volcanic office, seaching for a parking space, ect) and she said, she did not have our data. I explained that they have our email as we got a reconfirmation per mail the day before. She checked and said that this is correct, but she was not in the office during the past 2 days and therefore is not up to date. This is not an excuse and not our problem. We talked to another couple and they told us that they had made the same experience. There is a lot of room for improvement we believe.

The whole experience was excellent, absolutely beautiful views and our pilot was very informative about the different parts of rotorua.

This was an incredible experience. I have never been on a small plane before, let alone a floatplane, so I was very nervous/excited. The takeoff and landing was a breeze (I wish all flights went so smoothly). The views are incredible. The captain was lovely. It is one of those memories I'll never forget. Oh yeah, and I got to ride SHOTGUN up in the cockpit!

Fun and exciting. Float plane take off from lake set adrenaline pumping. Awesome view s out side and front windows. Commentary was entertaining and informative. Good headphones and mics made communication easy. Staff took good care that covid 19 procedures were followed. Highly recommend that you take this opportunity to see Rotorua from the air. Completely brilliant. Our pilot Stephen was perfect, friendly, funny, and engaging. He went above and beyond (ha) to make the kids feel safe and involved and even took time after the flight to show them around the cockpit and answer their questions. Thanks again Stephen for giving us an experience we'll never forget. You rock!
