Two of us did a Grand Tour of China over 27 days and loved it all. We were able to chose a number of extra towns such as the Hanging Monastery and Yungang Buddhist Grottos out of Datong, the old city of Pingyao, a generous itinerary with evening show in Xian, Tibet over 7 days, Hangzhou's West lake, Tea and Medicine museums, Guilin's Longshen Rice Terraces and trip down the Li River. Suzhou offered us their gardens, silk factory, and Xiteng water town. Returning to Shanghai (which preferably should take at least two days) we managed to tuck in the Shanghai museum which is a must see. China Tours went out of their way to accommodate us as we were able to experience China and in turn especially recommend a number of very experienced guides especially Rocky in Beijing, Rita in Xian, Lhakdon in Tibet, Lily in Guilin/Yangshou and Jackie in Suzhou . They particularity went out of their way to ensure we fully experienced their particular city. They all went out of their way to make us welcome introducing us to the Chinese culture, history and modern day China. The drivers were always on time, helpful and ready to drive us to the various venues on our itinerary.
