I chose this device because the cost for the entire trip was less than using my own carrier's international price. I used a pocket WiFi in Japan from a different company last year and it worked very well, so I wanted the same experience in Ireland. The pick up was very easy, so I was off to a good start. However, within a day, I realized that the battery was dead midway through the day. Sometimes it would only last 4-5 hours. So I contacted the company via email to which I got a quick reply, stating this was completely normal as the batter life is only 6-10 hours. Problem number 2: my power bank would not charge the device. It charged every other electronic I had with me, but not the pocket wifi. I could only charge it in a wall circuit. Even our rental car had only one charging port and it wasn't USB. Now I ask you, is 6-10 hours enough for the time you are away from the hotel? Is it useful to have a device that won't charge on a normal power bank? If I had rented their power bank, the total cost would not longer have been less than using my own carrier from home. These devices need to hold charge for at least 24 hours before I can give 5 stars. My pocket WiFi in Japan held charge for about a 24 hours and it was smaller and lighter, too. Disappointed. Not worth the money.

Excellent option for portable wifi!
I traveled to Ireland for a week with three friends. Our Wificandy mobile app kept us connected the whole time. I brought an external charger with me to make sure we could keep it charged while in the go, but the unit usually lasted most of the day. Pick up was easy because we landed at the terminal where you pick it up. Drop off was more of a hassle - it was 5 am and we had to do a car rental return and felt crunched, and our terminal wasn’t the drop off location. So we used our rental car to drop it at Terminal 2 and then returned our car and got over to Terminal 1. So my only recommendation is to make pick up/drop off available at both terminals. Otherwise an excellent experience and very affordable for our group!

Definitely worth it!
We needed a way to stay connected to my college ages kids and my father while we were on vacation and WiFi Candy gave us the best option (and price) for doing so in Ireland and Northern Ireland. It was easy to use, small enough to fit in my cross body and the battery lasted most of the day.

I don’t have enough words to describe how helpful, needed WiFi candy was. For 7 days we never needed to turn on our phones data! It worked EVERYWHERE even in the parking garages, we were never lost, never had to guess where to go. Miss a turn instantly re-route. Being overseas I would recommend Google Maps had all the landmarks and best ways to get to them. Drove all over Southern Ireland and never had an issue staying connected. We did lots of walking and were able to stay connected. The battery does last for quite some time! Connection was easy! This will be a staple in all my travels. The 2 of us were able to stay connected and split the cost which was MUCH cheaper than AT&T daily international cost.

Having WifiCandy helped us stay connected wherever I went in Ireland. We had 4 devices connected and never had an issue. It was awesome!

Great for multiple devices
We used through out Ireland and it worked perfectly. Great for family traveling together. We would use this device again and had great service as we travelled through the republic of Ireland

Not a good experience.
The battery life was terrible. I’ve used portable WIFI in other countries and I never had an issue with it needing charged multiple times throughout the day like I did on this trip. Reception was spotty at times and kept dropping, especially in Northern Ireland and the Burren area. I had told other family they didn’t need to use cellular service because I would have WIFI for them but it ended up we all used our cellular data because the WIFI was unreliable. Total waste of money for this trip.
