Whitewater Rafting Adventure | Kicking Horse River

Booking with Hydra was fast and easy. There were many times available to suit our schedule. Finding the drop off location was very easy. Once we got there Dave did an excellent job setting expiations and explaining the rules to make the trip safe. Our guide, Bill, was very knowledgeable about the water and how to navigate it safely but still have a lot of fun. I was worried about being cold, but it was a sunny day and they provide wet suits to help stay warm. I would highly recommend booking with Hydra and going rafting!

Brilliant white water rafting experience. Bill, our guide, was so calm and professional, we were very much in safe hands. Hydra are situated right at the river where you start the rafting and then you are bussed back from the end point which only takes 15/20 minutes. This makes for a great start and end to the trip. Highly recommended!

We had the BEST time! Dean was a great guide & made us feel safe and relaxed the entire time. We even joked later we’d trust him to guide us down Wapta Falls. This was a great experience and so much fun. Would recommend to anyone!

Great adventure! We came as family with 2 teenage boys who were excited for some action. And the trip didn’t disappoint us, our guide Dean made it a fantastic ride with lots of dips, waves and water splashing. Thanks to the team and especially Dean for the great memories we are taking home!

Fabulous day out on the water. Really well organised trip, safety is clearly a priority. Always felt safe with our wonderful guide, Fabian. He was fantastic and we just had the best afternoon in a gorgeous part of the world.

We had little rafting experience, but a good briefing and competent guides filled confidence. Kieran ‘the Destroyer of waves’ was great in the boat and really made the experience along with the family we were grouped with. Would highly recommend.

Keiran was our guide she was a slayer on the rapids. Nailed some great lines. Safety was paramount. Great briefing at the base on land and team coaching on the water. Great comradory amongst strangers on boat. I took a challenging front seat and rotated mid run to give another a shot. Such a great day good gear , great teamwork amongst other guides too. Fun people Fun river.

Absolute highlight of our trip. We were visiting from the states on a vacation to Canada with two teenagers and one preteen. As anyone knows, kids that age can be hard to please. And of course, I was a bit nervous about the cold glacier fed river and safety, it is rapidly moving water after all! After the safety briefing, however, I knew we picked the right company. Bill, our guide was AWESOME. He was funny, informative and encouraging. The wetsuit surprisingly kept us comfortable and the hot showers at the end of the trip were spectacular. I keep looking at the smiles on my kids’ faces from the pictures and it brings me such joy. If you want a family friendly adventure with some great, experienced guides, this is where you need to book. I know the other guide was awesome too, after speaking with the other guests in the second boat. We sure hope we cross paths with Bill again on future rafting adventures in the world - I know our kids are hooked!
