We were lucky to watch 2 Humpback Whales. Maria the biologist was very nice and helpful withe the information requested. Everything wea amazing. Thank you
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in all my years of traveling around the world. It’s not really a whale watching tour at all. In reality, it consists of going out in a boat that never gets far from the harbor and then chasing poor whales, disturbing their peace. Every time a tail or even the smallest water spout appears, the boat rushes toward the unfortunate whale, which of course gets scared and swims away. In 2026, activities like this should be banned. Neither my family nor I would ever have joined had we known it was something so barbaric. I strongly suggest the company rename it to what it truly is: “Join us and go to bother the whales.” Stay away, this is a complete waste of money.
Great whale watching experience, the guard was very knowledgeable and explained well how to spot the whales
The whale watching program exceeded all our expectations! We saw everything we hoped for — whales very close to the boat, their backs, powerful blows of water, and even their tails rising above the ocean. It was an absolutely breathtaking experience to see these magnificent animals in their natural environment. The tour was well organized, the guide was knowledgeable and passionate, and the atmosphere on board was wonderful. We were truly amazed and full of emotions — it’s a memory we will carry with us for a lifetime. Highly recommended to everyone visiting Iceland!
As we all know, timing is everything. I don't know if it was the end of season, but every charter was go I ng for the same small number of sightings. The seas were crowded. Our time was driven by other factors. This particular boat was delightful. Rough season made for a hard day but they took excellent care of us.
Brilliant tour, we seen pair of whales, an older single female whale and mink whale just after leaving the harbour, friendly staff and excellent tour guide who shared many interesting facts. We were very lucky when the whales came to investigate the boat. Highly recommend this tour. Very condisiderate of the whales and their environment.
Beautiful spot to watch whales, we were a bit unlucky from the weather, the children were slightly seasick. Travel tablets for the children in case of emergency are recommended. The driver maneuvered very well and was close to the whales, but not too close not to disturb the animals.
Nice experience. Very informative about lifestyle, personality, eating and migration patterns of humpback whales. Multiple sitings.
It's a long ride back and forth. Bring a book or cards... at the time we took the excursion, there were very few whales. Could not even get pictures.
Pretty incredible experience! We saw so many humpbacks and some got really close to the boat! The guide was really well informed and the boat was really good about getting us close to the whales pretty quickly!
