Great few hours exploring the city and places to eat. Christos is great, like walking around town with a friend, he also sent us an email afterwards with details of where we had eaten and suggestions of other places to try whilst here. Fab trip in a small group, loved the tasting visit to try olive oils, balsamic vinegar amongst other delights! Would highly recommend as a great start to see the town
What an experience John our guide was kind very knowledgeable about Chania and Crete and he had a great sense of humour. This is a must do food tour 10 out of 10 and please go hungry. Thank you John for an our wonderful tour.
Giannis is perfect: thoughtful, flexible, funny, and very professional. The tour takes place at a pleasant pace, the flavors are on point, and the history of Crete is told with great precision and liveliness. It is a true exchange in respect of traditions and everyone involved. I loved this activity and I warmly recommend it to anyone wishing to discover Cretan dishes as well as the history of the island.
Amazing food tour of Chania with a wonderful guide, Christos! On our first full day in Chania, we wanted a fun way to explore the city and try some local foods. This was our first trip to Crete and we were excited to see everything! Our guide, Christos met us in the center of town and took us to so many places! We had a small group of 7 people and got to try a TON of food. Definitely do not eat breakfast beforehand, you will get plenty of delicious treats! Our favorites were the olive oil tasting and the gyros! We even went back a got more after the tour to take home to our family and friends! Many thanks to Christos for showing us the city and all the food it has to offer! Highly recommend booking this tour if you are visiting the area and want to eat like a local!
Our guide Christos was very friendly and the tour with him was very fun. We had a taste of different kind of foods local to Crete and Chania. Apart from food tasting we also tasted olive oil, honey and other local products. During the food tour we also had a tour of Chania as well.
Christos is a phenomenal host. He grew up in Chania his whole life and knows the restaurant owners personally and their stories. He is charismatic and is so willing to answer any questions you may have on the food or lifestyle here. We learned so much on our tour, and he gave us additional recommendations after we were completed for the rest of our stay. Perfect experience, highly recommend to all travelers!
Christos was absolutely the best guide. We had an amazing time on the tour, every stop was filled with flavor and we learned so much about Cretan culture and the history of Chania. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone coming to Chania - you will not be disappointed!
Come hungry! Family friendly! Christos meet our family on time and prepared to navigate our tour in the Greece heat. We had such a lovely time and learned so much about the beautiful city of Chania. We have taken many food tours throughout Europe and this one was by far our favorite. Thank you, Christos!
Our guide John took us around Chania and we stopped at numerous businesses to try their offerings. The servings were very generous and in the end more than I could eat. Hands down I had the best chicken souvlaki and enjoyed the wide variety of things we tasted. Near the end of the tour we went to an herbal shop where the owner shared his broad knowledge of local herbs and their uses. John had a deep knowledge of the island, its food and people. He regaled us with stories while we were busy eating and we really enjoyed this personal touch. On this tour you will get more than your money’s worth!
Variety of authentic food. Huge portions. Friendly guide. Good timing and ended up having a private tour.Everyone should do this in the beginning of their trip! Highly recommend.
